Betrayal

She was a tactical genius. Not quite the master strategist of Thrawn, or having the overall capability as, say Pellaeon, but she was charismatic and she knew how to fight. As I said, she's a brilliant tactician and she was capable of galvanizing the Imperial Warlords (to a degree) but she's a little bit too unstable and chaotic in combat. She focuses more on raw aggression than anything else.

Beats the hell out of Ysanne Isard though...

My girlfriend is the Shadow Broker, why would I need either of them?

... Because she's an inept Shadow Broker?

If Liara's contributions make her an 'inept' Shadow Broker then I'd still much rather team up with her than Derperus or the Failliance. At least that way I won't be pointlessly put under arrest or killed by yet another experiment gone wrong.

Liara goes back to her digging for fossils post-war. I take her assets and integrate them into my new organization.

And frankly, some alone time.... for the rest of my natural life.... away from her will be much needed.

That's nice.

It'll be tragic.

Terra Firma works for cerberus, they get all their rhetoric from them and their current leader was a cerberus agent. Cerberus pretends to be an organization just looking out for humanity, but they have repeatedly shown to hire xenophobics, violent and sociopathic individuals, sadist, and into their orginization at all middle or higher up levels with no desire to curtail their behavior. They have assassinated or drugged important individual on the galactic stage whose messages threatened them or humanity is some way, and have been known to kidnap individuals and aliens, torture or experiment on them, and than kill them in mass graves. Most of their recruits are individuals who are bitter towards the turians after the first contact war. They're like terrorist who don't suicide bomb and have a means of acquiring vast sums of money. That's how I see them.

But I to accept your interpretation as one of many, but I hold mine as my own.

I see some of what you're saying. Which is why if I had to I would sign with the alliance. They get the slight nodge.

For everyone else.  Who knows, maybe Shepard will go to the funeral.

It's not a very good contest, and it's basically choosing non-horrific means but slow bureaucratic action that might not be effective, or fast response time with good effectiveness, but very shady and dirty actions and methods to accomplish that speed.

Personally, I want my own orginization to be built, seperate from the alliance or cerberus, like what it sounds like we will be in dragon age inquisition.

But baring that, the alliance wins by .5 a point.

This, and I went into it knowing that. It's the lesser of 2 evils. I' am thinking of making a thread where you create your own organization.

The Alliance is not 'slow' for not building 50 bajillion dreadnoughts just because Shepard asks them to.

Started investigating options to fight them.  Work with Cerberus (before they got hit with indoctrination obviously).  Look through the archives more carefully.  Hell, find out how to rig ships to collide at FTL speeds..  Prepared a fallback option ala Ilos/eden Prime.  ANYTHING!

I don't think it was possible to work with cerberus. They would have knocked heads and caused problems. Illusive man would of wanted to go a different way and so would the alliance on certain things. That would of just caused more problems. The other stuff they could of did though.

That's actually a good point...

Where WAS the alliance during the colony invasions? Probably pointed out in some dialogue but I forgot.

Right. Couple of things.

First of all, considering the Arrival project and Project Aurora, the evidence says the Alliance did investigate options to fight the Reapers. They just didn't find a miracle. And if they did it would be bad writing. Like finding the Crucible in the archives, which should have been scrapped entirely. So that's completely off the table. No magic buttons. No miracle solutions.

There's no reason to believe the Alliance didn't have one or multiple fallback options. But since the story never comes to that, there's no reason to show it to the player.

Arrival started out as an investigation in batarian space, then they found object Rho, and the Alliance had such ****** poor control on that ooperation it doesn't count.  Aurora didn't seem to be taken seriously until after the invasion.

I'll quote Joker on this "After years of ignoring your warnin gs, they are finally tellign you they just can't help"

Finding a miracle solution would be contrived, stupid writing. Like the Crucible. It's off the table.

Then use the CB, it has previously been established as being a potential goldmine of information.
