 cool Helmets for everyone!
One simple thing that I want for ME4 is helmets for every NPC. I didn't like the masks that Liara, and other NPC used on ME2 and ME3, because they make no sense from an aesthetic and practical point of view (i.e. headshots)
Helmets in the original Mass Effect were cool, specially the salarian's ones. And one thing that would be very cool, is "dinamyc helmets" that you could toggle between fights and conversations (because I'm hoping that ME4 has a lot of that too). To give you an idea it would work like something like this:

What do you think?

I think that Bioware has made it abundantly clear that they have stopped caring about realistic outfits at some point after ME1.
The next ME will presumably feature nude female protagonists with customisable bodypaint where the designers can fully realise their artistic vision (for your sanity, I will not link to banshee and EDI pics) so obviously there will be no need for helmets.

Yes, that helmet in the video looks nice, and if they could make it more transparent it would fit the ME universe nicely (where we already have folding weapons manufactured on the fly from omnigel and such) but I seriously doubt that it will happen.

EDI was stupid. Garbage fanservice for 12 year olds. Would be nice if it actually wore clothes (on the Normandy) if it wanted so hard to be organic.

I think EDI's character design was almost flawless; it matches the voice acting and it's like a tribute to old scifi designs. Would it be great to see a more organic interaction and use of it? Yes, but I blame the writers for that. Does she has too much T&A? Yes, but that it's a common flaw among mass media artists since forever... just check all the perferct male asses in videogames, comics and cartoons

Armor modification was better in ME1.
I wish they had not only improved the weapon modding in ME3 but also armor/helmet modification.

I just want the in game ability to not have the helmet of the pre made suits on all the time. I know we can keep them off in conversations, but it's jarring to see the helmet teleport on and off Shep's head. This has been a major gripe for people since ME2, has bio ever said why they won't implement a default helmet off option for the PC?

In ME1 the player could switch helmets on/off manually, in ME2 helmets where on all the time (very disturbing in conversations), ME3 "fixed" that quick and dirty with teleporting helmets.
Let's hope in ME4 helmets have predefined on/off times and nice unfolding animations just like in OP's video clip.
