Does anyone know if a female character can have longer hair? Thats the main reason I don't play as a female in Mass Effect, the choices were short.
If Miranda can have long hair, why can't the female Shepards have it?

We have had no news on this topic since the german character creation video, and there weren't that many hairstyle options shown. Sorry OP.

In all seriousness, I'd like to see a rayban sunglasses option. I think Shep (male and female) would look badass, helmet off and raybans on! Fits military specs too!

Why would you even have long hair while being in the military? They wouldn't put that in just because of the common sense factor that short hair doesn't get in the way in real life.

Most of the female hairstyles were bad in my opinion. I mean, some of them looked like they were glued on her head!

I sure am hoping for a change.

I doubt there will be long hair, but I hope they have at least a dozen choices and styles available. I hate everyone's Shepherd's looking so similar and generic because of limited choices.

I know they said they're more limited in the character creator then they wanted to be because of the way the importation worked from ME1.   But I will scream If there is more choice.  Default sheps is the only hair style I actually liked!!  

I am sure (hope) its possible to add more.  Its restricted yes, but there is nothing stopping going back to originally renders and customising something new!

Which is what boggles my mind, in two years of development and a ton of feedback from players regarding the character creator and it's flaws... they do nothing.  What could have been a very easy set of additions that would have made everyone happy turns out to be a untouched.  It even looks like from that German char creator vid that Femshep STILL has a giraffe neck which I swear was on everyones most hated "graphical problems with the game" list.

I mean really, how hard would it have been to create like 4 new hairstyles and maybe two new face slider options for each adjustment?  Sometimes the simplest additions go the longest towards making fans happy and character creator additions would have been one such example.

Also, saying they had restrictions based on the importation utilized is bogus, there's nothing stopping them from adding onto the creator, taking things away or changing them, ya, but never adding on top of. *grumble grumble*

Pity, but I'll make do with my FemShep's sexy red hair in a bun I suppose. *shrug* You should see the DA:O hair mods, as there's some nice stuff.

the giraffe neck is alot of work to get rid of, because it would involve creating animation skeletons for each gender, and therefore doubling the amount of created animations.

I hope they offer character face and hair selections equivalent to what is available in DA:O -- human origins. I felt that offered decent enough variety.
