There was a topic about this on the old website.

One of the devs, might have been Chris, said there will not be longer hair options for females.

Actually, I believe the thread was about longer hairstyles for males.

I hope they offer character face and hair selections equivalent to what is available in DA:O -- human origins. I felt that offered decent enough variety.

Agreed. Actually, I'd be content if they just imported all the DA:O hairstyles and left it at that personally...

The thread was for males, but after looking at the German character creator video--EVERYTHING about the character creator looked EXACTLY the same, just with better textures/modeling.

Bummer if the finished product turns out like that. You're getting your entire body repaired but you can't have any new hairstyles/noses? I hope that was just really early footage and there will be more than before. I mean, seriously, the noses in ME were so limited; most were very much the same. If only they'd include depth and width options for the nostrils/tip/bridge... the nose makes the face, in the end. It's the single biggest factor that keeps you from looking too uniform, too much like everyone else.

I hate having to play a female with a tiny nose. Tiny noses are cute on some people, but I like my main FemShep to have small nostrils and a flat bridge but be longish with a good solid down-turned tip. I don't think it's cute to have a nose that turns up so far you should be able to see when she last blew it. That was a common problem in ME1, and very hard to avoid, if not downright impossible.

That's another thing that bothers me. The big, round nostrils. My nostrils are tiny, slender, and form ellipses, not humongous circles. Other than the nostril stuff, DA was almost perfect where noses are concerned... if only ME had taken a page from their character creator for the sequel... and from the fandom for DA and Oblivion for hair (although, certainly not the big humongous ridiculous styles that mimic anime and don't look like anything a real human being could ever possess.) I don't mind if they're picky because she's a military character, but there should be more and better options than existed in the first game. I would certainly hope this feature is truly improved, and not just in modeling and textures.

No, it's trick of the eyes. The skin pulls back from hair and nail so it looks like they've grown.

/biology, yeah!
