This guide is for Silver players thinking of dipping their toes into Gold. Here are some useful tips when playing your first Gold games.

1) If you feel the need to act as a mobile decoy during node hacking missions, please do so at the other corner, far away as possible from my duration spec infiltrator.

2) If you go down while doing the above, please burn through your medigel supply trying to self revive. +1 bonus point for doing it in a cluster**** area.

3) Since you are the new guy in town, you will be tasked with cobra missle duty. See two cannibals and one husk, missle away. Three Guardians? Use your missle, goddamnit! Once you burn through your missle stash, start decoying (see 1).

4) Avenger I is a god weapon on Gold. Use it on any kit. And Locust X is OP (it's a freaking rare!).

5) Teamplay is important on Gold. So, when you see your teammate's Juggernaut HM-ing a Cannibal/Marauder/Geth Trooper, point your Locust X at it and let it rip...

6) Referring to number 5) above, stick closely to your teammates and don't fire your weapon until your teammates take something down to 1 or 2 bars of health. Then, kill it for your teammates. You are a Team Player and you should be helping your team members kill stuff faster.

7) When you see a target primed by biotics, quickily take it down with a cobra missle. Primed targets have a blue-ish hue to them, so it's kinda hard to miss. Your teammates will thank you for it.

Anything else that I missed out. Please add so that we can have more 'skilled' players in Gold PUGs.

i was bullied into taking an alternate build engineer for a 4 human engineer match, rapidly specced the female, didnt bother checking her weapons so she had avenger X as default. God that was a depressing match.

Joined a lobby last night, U/U/G where the host had Avenger IV + Katana III equipped... it's almost like he'd read this post before you'd posted it.


Then again, he obviously thought I would be prepared to carry him as when he saw my 70k Challenge points upped it to Reapers/Platinum... I left.

sounds good tatty. i will be on in a couple of hours. have to wrap up some work before the weekend.

Of course i miss the team. PUGging is really frustrating when you have to carry the whole team playing a slow as hell Juggernaut in a laggy lobby. i couldn't even HM at times because of the lag. And it wasn't helping that i was trying to shoot a GPS while under lag.

I mean the gun is decent and you can make it work on any difficulty but it wasnt meant to. Its the reason its a weapon you dont have to unlock but simply upgrade.
