What if we find one? How would it act, how would it move?

It'd probably still be a tremendous jerk. Just a less omnicidal.

He could have some interesting conversations.

Well one of the theories is that Flemeth is in fact one of the Old Gods. A dragon being her actual true form.

If that turns out to be true, well that answers both questions of how does one act or move.

Probably would depend on which Old God it was and whether it was still sane after millennia of imprisonment.

I picture them as fairly demanding. "Worship me, give me treasure, feed me, go invade that black city."

You could ask the Architect how he found Uriel, I suppose.

Oh wait, he's dead.

Aren't all the Old Gods male?

They are written as such. Who is to say that's true though. Or for that matter that Flemeth doesn't simply choose to be whatever gender she pleases. Shapeshifter after all.

But it's only a theory I quite liked. She could be something much different and something much worse come to think of it.

Isn't Flemeth considered to be a High Dragon in her animal form? I thought ALL high dragons are females and Archdemons were males?

As a side note all Old Gods are apparently male, but take the form of high dragons...who are always female.

They never said the Old Gods take forms. They just are, and what they are are massive male dragons.

Remember that Flemeth is a shapeshifter though, and could just as easily change "her" gender. And just because these Old Gods were defined as "male" back in the past doesn't mean that they truly have genders as gods.

According to Dragon Age: The Calling, the Grey Wardens actually know the locations of the prisons of each of the Old Gods, but getting to them would involve cutting through millions of darkspawn.

I meant in game they appear as huge male high dragons. Which we are told are female only in every other scenario. Not necessarily that they choose to be dragons. Flemeth being an Old God is merely one of a number of theories.

And the Old Gods being shapeshifters, regardless if she's/he/it is among their number, isn't that big a stretch for a supposed god.

Haha, why not.

Zeddemore: "I thought Gozer was a man?"
Spengler: "It's whatever it wants to be."

Or maybe neither.

I picture the uncorrupted Old Gods as the dragons of Skyrim.

Sentient dragons, that would be pretty cool. It would be an interesting conversation I'd imagine.

No idea, but it's intriguing. I think the old gods are important to the survival of Thedas in some fundamental way.

Assuming the Archdemons really ARE the Old Gods, instead of just super cranky, magical dragons.

Wouldnt that be a kick in the pants? That after the Seventh Blight is over, turns out they weren't Old Gods at all and there were still dozens, hundreds, THOUSANDS of cranky magical dragons in the ground? A never-ending supply of Blights down there?

I laughing just thinking of the irony.
