Fist is small time though (and unarmed if I remember), I suppose I don't have a problem with killing him persay but that's what the police are for. In the case of Balak there were hostages, he didn't just let him walk.

He set a trap up for a teenager Tali, tried to have your murdered, and was armed to the teeth. Small time or no, the guy is a serial killer.

Letting Balak go risks a crapton more lives than those hostages, though.

Tali is a teen? She's 21 and Quarians have the same lifespan as humans.

I just had Wrex blast him.

The main person I can think of would be Helena Blake, but she was a marked improvement over other gangs.

Fist and Balak come to mind

He is only unamed after he dropped his guns and his drones were destroyed.  Three hostages does not out weight the potential victims of his next attack

Makes me wonder how much killing a paragon can get away with and stay, say, 2/3 blue. Hmm.

This might become an experiment.

Lorik Qui'in glitch = Master killer of people while having a max P/R bar!

No cheating, good sir.

But you're not cheating! And it's single player!

Do a better job clarifying that Cerberus will be in control of the base and the technology, and that Cerberus shouldn't be trusted with such powerful tools.

That doesn't really need to be clarified any more than it already was in ME2.

And I'm still waiting for your opinion on Pacific Rim.

I have no interest in Pacific Rim.

In fact, the last movie I saw was Skyfall.

Tali was a teen in ME1

Doesn't matter. However, he was armed to the teeth until you destroyed his machine guns and he dropped his gun.

That may be, but its hard to fault someone for choosing the hostages.

Perhaps, but it's still a very bad idea. He's as bad as Hitler (you know it's true, so don't bring up Godwin), as he was going to destroy a planet. You can't let someone like him get away.

She was 21-22 in ME1. She's only seven years younger than Shepard.

The world is full of people who would commit atrocities if they had the opportunity.

I think you'd enjoy it. Heroism and cooperation are two of its key aspects.

LOL. I didn't realize Balak was so special. Here I thought by killing him, five more would take his place.

Most people, in fact. It's simply a matter of opportunity, and rewards.

Push a button that kills a family totally unrelated to yours for 1 trillion dollars? I daresay most people will push that button.

Hmm. That's an interesting question.

The problem is I doubt many people would take the button seriously. Perhaps if they showed the family wired to explosives and instead of just a button it was clearly a detonator?

Well, the way you go on and on about heroism and good and powerful characters doing good things in the name of the greater good, it should be right up your alley.

Seriously? It's almost been a year since it was released. If you're barely exposing yourself to other works of fiction, how do you justify your sweeping claims about what fiction is and isn't? Or are you basing everything you say on the eternal stream of spergic BS spouted over at TV Tropes?

It wouldn't be heroic to push the button.

If you're trying to suggest people are not inherently selfish, I would disagree, David.

Selfish is one thing. Killing a family of innocent people for money is another.

I doubt most people would do it.

Speaking of Pacific Rim, I was really disappointed they only used that ship as a melee weapon for like two seconds. At the time I was currently playing New Vegas, I thought that ship puts the Blade of the East to shame.

We're talking about 1 trillion dollars here. I'd like to think most would not push it, but I think it to be the case.

Otachi didn't want to play battleships.
