Joker can easily be killed during that sequence if the player screws up.

It isn't plot armor.

Plot armor is when writers prevent important characters in the plot from dying in situations where death is almost certain. ME2 is really the only game where no one on the squad had plot armor. Joker does not have plot armor because it is very possible to survive what he did.

Miranda did.

Tell her to hold up the bubble. She'll die.

Nope, one of the squaddies you bring will.

Sorry I think it's the tubes, but she can definitly die if she isn't loyal. Every member of the squad including Shepard can die.

Afaik the only way to kill her certainly is to bring her unloyal to the final confrontation with the termina/- I mean Reaper

Only after the team splits to fight the Human Reaper and hold the line. She'll die on the platforms if she isn't loyal, or she can be killed holding the line.

Gameplay/Story segregation. What are you talking about?

She survives Cerberus taking over the Mars Archives simply by her Liaraness.

Because we have never met other characters surviving ambushes or live threatning/high risk situations in the Mass Effect series?

Like Ashley, Tali (she's done it twice now!), Jack.

Why was Liara made Shadow Broker if virtually nothing was carried forward in the later game?

I felt she suited the role of being a Prothean specialist and would have hot footed it back to Ilos, a virtually undisturbed Prothean site.

Also examples of plot armor.

Liara's obvious armor DOES NOT detract from her charcater.

At those points, weren't they important to the plot. And when we get there, most of those people still had a team. They just die in the process. And where does Jack do this. She isn't alone.

The only thing she is worse at than being the SB is a Prothen researcher.

It might shock you to learn that most content in stories is not put in for the sole purpose of building up to something else. That content doesn't need any justification aside from being good.

Liara was made Shadow Broker because it was a satisfying and meaningful plot point.

You're wrong. That's not plot armor at all.

Plot armor is a character surviving certain-death situations in a contrived fashion by nothing more than 'luck' in story.

Plot armor is not 'Any character who can't be killed in a game where some characters can be killed.'

Baria Frontiers bombing.  She survives merely because she is lucky.

Except, she's not the only person to survive the bombing, and was in an area that wasn't damaged by the bomb.

Random civilian #245 has plot armor too

Well, no, it means she doesn't have plot armor, not everyone has plot armor.

She had SB stuff to do in previous versions of the script, but then Bioware realised that Traynor was completely irrelevant beyond being a F/F LI and decided to give her all of Liara's SB stuff.

She found the plans for the Crucible and was one of the few people in her field who believed in the Reaper's cycle.

No. Liara was made SB becauset hey had no idea what to do with her because of poor planing so they made her SB, however when they made the protheans important again it became clear that making her SB was uselss because protheans being important made her have a role again by default. Classic case of poor planing if I ever saw one.

It's another squadmate that dies not her(same with Jacob/Thane if they hold it up).

At an already working Alliance research lab.  If she hadn't someone else would have.

If Miranda is the only one holding the line, she will die loyal or non-loyal. If she is non-loyal she can die depending on how many characters are holding the line and which characters are fighting with her..

Bring non-loyal Miranda to fight the reaper she will die

If the plot demands that Joker lives in that section then he lives

Plot Armor is not a negative term, stop making it out to be one
