So what's your point?

There is no aspect of Liara, unique to Liara, that enabled her to discover the Crucible plans, except for BioWare's Liara love

If Bioware loved Liara so much, they would not have gave 99% of her stuff to Sam so Sam would have had a purpose. Hadt hey not, Liara being SB would not have been so dam jarring or look so dam incomptent.

Liara in ME3.

*snip*

Now that I think about it, Miranda could of told Shepard where TIM's base was, since shes there in ME2's beginning, rather than finding out just by placing a tracker on Kai Leng.

She should have never been Sb to begin with.

Enlighten me of your brilliant idea of what Liara 'should have been,' House.

Given the current ME3 it would have been better if she just stayed a Prothean expert.

Indeed. By the protheans being important, Liara had a proper role again, there was no need for this pointlesss SB plot that the writters made for ME2 because

1:They did no planning
2:Had no clue what to do with the character

I think it wouldn't have made much sense if Liara had simply "stumbled" across the crucible plans. Using something like the SB ressources was probably necessary to make finding the plans at least somewhat believable.

If you assume that Prothean researchers didn't have access to (the equivalent of) written records, then their total ignorance of Prothean culture is fairly forgivable. Our understanding of, say, Harappan culture is probably much worse.

But ME3 generally seems to imply that there's a hell of a lot of Prothean stuff lying around, which is problematic.

I really don't like the idea of just finding a living Prothean.

Perhaps Javik could be replaced by a character of another race with the same attitude. Although I'm unsure how I could justify having Shepard have such a person on the ship at all.

Javik is the real hero. Not Shepard. Shepard didn't stand as the last member of his race. Javik is a hero without even wanting to be. Shepard is just filler until Javik comes along.

Why? Because he proves that T'soni isn't the prothean expert that she claims to be. He tells her on Thessia that "you didn't study hard enough".

I'd prefer she die on LotSB.

But given her forced plot relevence, yes.

Again, NO ONE was right, it was not just Liara. Liara however at least was right about other things that helped Shepard so she is bettert hen the rest of the so called prothean experts.

I love her denial rage on the Normandy.

It's amusing, and kinda unfortunate, how often people misinterpret that scene with Wrex and Liara.

Javik is little more than a thug and a coward hopelessly dependent on his delusions. He gleefully advocates genocide, but has to hide his actions away in his little memory shard because he can't face what he did.

The base moves, according to the books. That he settles the base at similar-looking stars doesn't mean they are the same.

It's absolutely an accomplishment. The people who realized the Earth was round were likely far smarter than almost anyone alive today. Not magically knowing everything in the universe is no fault at all. They did the best they could with the knowledge and evidence they had.

How, Liara did not find them. They joke about her being a bad Shadow Broker. She was busy? Really? How busy is she that she can't tap into communications from Sur'Kesh? But she knows who Shepard bumps uglies with. That's what is really important.

And you don't see how strange it is to want Liara to have a special and unique skill whilst decrying that she's already BioWare's pet? And you don't care that there's not a single character in the entire series which is like how you want Liara to be?
