On itself, not so much, but watching the end with it, OMG yes! :(

The track "Lost Without You" gets to me.

Yeah, but I always thought the ME3 theme was unfitting for this franchise though, and too emotionally manipulative somehow. It still got me at the end though, but more because I was seeing the franchise burn before my eyes rather than seeing Shepard die.

Try listening to this and forget about the kid for once

Now think about all the ending could've been... aaah, it's so good once it lasts and when it's over you just feel sad about what ME3 never became. Really inspiring if you play it on a PS3 with the planet space background running.

For me, Mass Effect 3 is the most emotionally exhausting game I've ever played, and some of the music contributed to that. This track included.

It deserves a better ending to go with it.

I think the first thing they should've fixed in the ending was to change the explanation for the reapers existence. Closure is good, but from an objective viewpoint the explanation behind the reapers is the thing that doesn't work. It's contradictory.

Yes. The games never made any case for the Reapers' justification, let alone a convincing one. A character just suddenly shows up and gives you three choices based on some number. At best, it feels like an unnecessary complication. At worst, it's messing with the player.

Yes.

Mass Effect 3 had the best soundtrack of the series, IMO. As far as emotional tracks go, I'm Proud of You would be my favorite though.

I like the original version more, but this is an amazing piece of music. I even did a cover of it:

Ugh.  It's really hard not to think of the kid when I hear this one.  I tried, but there he is invading my memories just as he invaded the ending of my trilogy.

Wow, with that one I can actually imagine how the ending could have been.

That moment when you know this will be the last time you'll play as Shepard and co ever again...

It's like, ah ****, it's like watching a kitten drown :crying:

I feel nothing, but I guess that's because 1) I'm very hard to get emotional, I try to stay in a neutral mood all the time. 2) My mind keeps distracting me by figuring out which great scenes to put that song in.

It's amazing, and I'd lie if I said it didn't affect me in the slightest. But pedantically, musically speaking, that tuning will automatically make you cry when played right.

My personal favourite is still and always will be "Vigil", used numerous times throughout the trilogy. That is because it is an example of a super-touchy-feely piece, but a strongly positive and uplifting one. A lot harder to write those, IMO.

Vigil and Farewell and Into the Inevitable. Nothing really beats those songs, except when Liara plays Liara's Theme on piano (Vigil). An End Once and For All kinda gets ruined by the thunderous sound at the end - that should have been separate; it kinda kills the song, and it reminds me of the stupid jungle scene at the end.

I love this one. It's a cover/mash-up made by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. It's currently on my most played list on Spotify.
