well I liked it
the timing seems deliberate enough and the choice of action in combat seems to have been thought about.
I liked the fact that we will be able to use the environment during combat more.
I assume that the pause button will be there, as my only question is how does it integrated with group combat? (i know that it is supposed to be more tactical and more group oriented than DA:2 but that can really be lots of thing.
IE how do we use our group, as it seems that it can be potentially hands on?

it might be auto aim but we should still be able to miss once and a while according to how we have built the char.,

I am more interested in the dogde roll personally and since I Allen is here.

Are a dogde roll as the one shown something we have to do manually, is it an ability or is it just how the figure animates when an attack miss.

Can you give me the precise moment in the video when the harpoon missed due to manual aim? I ask this because it's not manually aimed.... Unless you consider choosing a target manual aim.

But if it did miss, then I have a bug to file!

Even I said  basicly the same thing to him.

Saying "CONFIRM OR DENY!" sounds arrogant to me. Saying "Could you tell us if MP will be present in DAI" or something similar is an appropriate way to ask something.
Regardless, if Bioware will implement MP in DAI, they're announce it in other ways. Allan and other developers wouldn't confirm it here casually.

Yup.


So there is no multiplayer?


There is never no way of knowing definetely if no not-single playerversions will not be there. Probably.

There will definetly be MP. Bioware just hasn't confirmed it yet, and likely won't until much later in the cycle.

There should be a tactic that goes kind of: Self: Target of Special attack - > Dodge

Rolling in what looks like heavy armor it´s kind of silly. And as Witcher 2 proved, it gets tiring soon. Odd as Witcher 1 got dodging much better.

So, why is throwing a harpoon not realistic? 'Cause it seems plenty realistic to me. Throwing a small spear is a very real, very fundamental way of attacking. Humans have done it quite often over the years. Attaching a rope to the spear isn't terribly unrealistic either. Would the attack work better as a grappling hook? Maybe, but I have no problem with the javelin/harpoon/spear thing.

One thing I will mention about the combat video is that abilities appear to integrate very well with regular attacks. At 3:00 in the video, the Inquisitor Warrior makes a few normal strikes against a foe, and then does a quick spin attack, which takes out a big chunk of his stamina. At first, I thought it was just a standard combo.

Unless ordinary attacks can drain stamina now. I doubt it, though.

Edit: Okay, I was wrong about the time. But I'm pretty sure I saw it. Either way, I like the animations.
