Is it possible to somehow edit the sneak attack code to where it is used as a 'normal' attack? What I mean by this is that the rogue can use this no matter where he's standing. Basically I want to be able to use this while standing in front of the target. It's kinda hard to use it when he's being used as your party leader and is always the first into combat and grabs all the aggro :\\

If I might make an alternate suggestion, it might be easier to edit the gtr_speak_node script so that it doesn't switch your controlled character to the party leader whenever you step on a speak trigger.

AFAIK there's absolutely nothing we (the community) can do to change basic sneak attack functionality. The only quick advice I can offer is try backing away with your rogue at the start of the fight and have the fighter-types advance on the enemy, and with any luck they will switch targets at the start of the next round. Or, since you don't mind bending the rules, you could give your rogue the hide in plain sight feat with the console or something.

I wonder if you'd sneak-attack every round if the target was blinded?

[Answering my own post:]

It says here that you can sneak-attack if an opponent is flat-footed or cannot see their attacker. That might suggest that a weapon with an OnHit property that blinds opponents might do the trick.

An opponent is also considered flat-footed if stunned or paralysed, so a weapon with either of those OnHit properties might also work.
