The fans "freaking out" is what got Ashley armor in ME3 as opposed to simply her "tinfoil skirt and thigh-high boots."
I'm very curious about that.

Pre-alpha is more of a planning stage. One plans features pre-alpha and at best writes test units for them. In the alpha stage things get realized and actually tested to see if they work out. In the alpha stage features can be added and changed. That's what that stage is for. The beta version is meant to get a stable version that can actually be released at some point. In that phase the chance of big changes are slim.

It's kind of a joke--in the first Mass Effect game Ashley Williams is talking to Shepard and she says, "if you want to get me in a tinfoil skirt and thigh high boots you'll have to take me out to dinner first." Plainly put, she's a soldier--wasn't shown in sensual attire at all. Then ME3 came around and she was wearing this:
The fans, one of them being myself, caterwauled and all of a sudden the next time she was in big bulky armor.

I see nothing wrong with this. She's fully clothed and showing virtually no cleavage. I guess I'm just a sexist pig.

It isn't Ashley, that was the whole point of our argument. it doesn't fit her character (you'd probably have to play ME1 to see what I mean).
And no you're not a sexist pig. As an outfit it's acceptable, certainly better than others I've seen in the last five games. just didn't fit her.

Whatever, you're probably a clopper in cahoots with Recon. It is known.

In ME1 her "outfit" was generic armor, except on the Normandy where it was generic Alliance uniform. What's so "Ashley" about that?

How about her comment about a sensual outfit--there's a reason that quote is used.
No reason. Why does she have to be?Darth Brotarian wrote...

Why couldn't she be in the alliance regs short sleve jacket shirt and camo pants with boots again?

The only thing that struck me as odd was the fact that the warrior used to demonstrate the sword swinging in the video was dragging his feet as he walked. Almost looked like he was skating across the floor, and the dust trail didn't help in that regard. Hopefully the movement is improved.
The sword swinging looked good to me, though.

I understand perfectly well the purpose behind clothes that show off sexual characteristics. Gays do it too.billy the squid wrote...

I know you're gay Plaintiff so I wouldn't expect you to understand the attraction of boobs and a plunging neckline.

Because it makes more sense for the woman who said she doesn't like the idea of skirts as a uniform, to not wear a skirt as her uniform in mass effect 3, than it does for her to wear it?
