Refuse is pretty clear cut that everyone dies. Or least that all the current space faring civilizations are annihilated, and don't survive into the female stargazer's cycle.
Of course you may be right however that it would be possible for Traynor to survive to old age in Refuse, as the annihilation of the Protheans took a century to complete. Its always possible that she could have been one of the last survivors of her species.
Although the destruction of the current species would likely be far quicker than it took to wipe out the Protheans, it would probably still take a while to track down and eliminate every small enclave of survivors. The Normandy, and/or Traynor, might have met their fate at any point in that timeline, sooner or later.
The other point, it was thought that the Protheans were completely wiped out in the cull of their era, until it was discovered on Ilos that some survived, for a while afterwards. Had no one gone to Ilos then no one would have ever known any different to the view that they were ALL wiped out.
Let's face it, with the refuse ending, knowing that the fate of all organic life in the galaxy was terminal, then I'd expect Shepard to do what Liara suggested earlier on, take the Normandy, and hide, to live out the rest of their days.
