Except that if he can move faster than a drugged sloth he wouldn't be hit by the swarms in the first place.

Always astounds me how little people appreciate how ridiculous his stagger immunity and always-up bonuses are.

From my experience, a destroyer using a typhoon with AP and EB mods and AP rounds III destroys anything within a few seconds, even on plat. I don't have the math or dps to back it up, but the destroyer is one of the best weapon users in the game imo.
He's a walking turret, as mentioned earlier, and should be used as such. Not great for soloing, but as part of decent team, very effective when used properly.

He doesn't have instant full shield restore. He is bad for solo. 

He's also slower than Juggernaut too.

HML is amazing on Gold. On Plat, not so much. It's basically a pre-buff Concussive Shot that fires automatically.

A) MF Grenade spam them or...

Stunlock them with your shoulder while you proceed to shoot them down.

Either option is viable, HML doesn't suck, you disliking it doesn't change that.

Yup.

Devastator Mode + Geth Scanner owns Hunter Mode except in the speed department. 

I still think he is the best PPR user... Only the Ghost and GI can compete.

Okay, i'll try to restore my post here. (Which was deleted and resulted in ban, lol)

ML is not bad, i agree. But it seems like a case of different perspectives, caused by differences in manifest. I don't speak for you, but in my case, when you have both Typhoon X and AP IV you don't really need anything else. And if you take Piranha as backup, you already won the game.

Additionally, those 500 shields allow me to be more rambo, which suits my playstyle more than relying on something not really reliable.

I don't think that skipping MFG (which is godlike CQC backup) or trading Fitness for -500 shields could help in my case. 

Really, i've seen some guy on Yutuub do stuff with HML, but whenever i try it i feel like "WTF am i supposed to do with that"

Only with full auto weapons. And the speed is kind of a big deal tbh
