I did my first (and probably last) platinum solo this afternoon.  The character I chose was the asari vanguard, versus Cerberus. I chose Goddess as the map, since it seemed thematically appropriate.

Guess there's no problem that lift grenade spam can't solve. :)

I made a video and posted it on youtube, if anyone is interested:

The sound ended up de-synced because my computer actually froze a few times during the later waves, which caused problems with the recording. So I added a bunch of ME2 soundtrack music to the last part of it. 

As an added bonus on my first try I played somewhat better and even made it through wave 10 devices, but here's how my first attempt ended.

Congrats, the map is not easy, nor the character you choosed. When I did my first plat solo, I also thought it will be the last, but I'm close now to do my fifth. Yep, I'm starting to enjoy it, maybe you will do too...

Excellent!! This is a highly difficult (and sometimes annoying) map, Acolyte is ok in a plat solo on Thessia, no cheese. I like!

I have mad respect for anyone who does this more than once, let alone five times, or dozens like I'm sure some have done... I'm not sure I can handle the stress again, but who knows?

Excellent work! I have never seen a Platinum Solo accomplished on Firebase Goddess!

On the Hack objective, how were you able to make the computer upload the data, even though you were not in the Hack-circle? Is this a PC trick? To the extent of my knowledge, this is not possible on the XBox360.

Talk about bitterness. Platinum godess can be a real pain with a team, so a solo is definitely a great feat.

Clever use of game mechanics / working as intended ^_^ Yeah, it's a PC trick. You have to activate the computer and leave the hack circle fast enough I think.

On a Platinum solo on Goddess...ummmm.....wut? Yeah.....this is a troll comment for sure. For a Platinum solo especially on a tight map like this you bring all of your tools. Regardless of the Acolyte or even if he would have used the Reegar its still a tough Platinum solo. Not everyone can do it....soooo..... meh.... whats the point in responding further? ..... trololololololol.....sing it....trololololololol.....sing it ...trolololol.

I would say that was the only part of the solo I wasnt too fond of but regardless it was excellent. The gameplay was great and its a tough tight map. I have attempted a solo here before but have not completed it so I know its definitely a tough one.

2) No. But Acolyte significantly trivializes many mooks and it's shield damage is just ridiculous game design.
3) It's harder to hit flipping Phantom with anything, that's not a Acolyte, that it is with Acolyte.
