Edit: Oops, forgot to add - Nice job OP, especially for persevering through that disheartening failed attempt. Really good time for a first completed platinum solo too.

He's just busting you up for fun. The Acolyte is a great tool on a Platinum solo. When you are doing a solo you bring all the best tools. Nice work!

2) No. But Acolyte significantly trivializes many mooks and it's shield damage is just ridiculous game design.
3) It's harder to hit flipping Phantom with anything, that's not a Acolyte, that it is with Acolyte. 

 If you hit a flipping phantom with an acolyte on-host you will do about 3 bars of barrier damage per shot.  Also, at 60 FPS with a decent mouse, hitting things in the head is pretty easy either way.

Dude. Talking about weapons and how they affect enemies is pointless when it comes to Platinum solo's. Ok so the Acolyte is better on Phantoms than lets say the Predator...now how does that even come close to relating to the amount of time, skill, perserverance, judgement, combos, use of consumables, handling objectives, handling wave to wave bosses versus mooks/mid tier enemies, spawn control and survivablity? .....I'll tell you...Nothing. 

Come on man. Just admit it..you like to troll dont you? Come onnnnnn. We wont bite! Ok maybe a few others will but I wont. Just go ahead and admit it....trololololol....trolololol....trololololol. I mean you have to be if you simplify a really tough platinum solo to a discussion about the Acolyte. lol. Come onnnnnnnnnnnn just do it. Say it.... write " I am a troll" and well be fine because in all honesty any other explanation is going to simply just make you look foolish.

I am on PC and I have never been able to do it successfully. Some hacks can be activated from outside the hacking circle (at first you obviously have to be inside for the game to register the player hacking), even with those it did not work for me... I have tried dodging out of the circle way faster than I see it in some videos, for me it just won't work.

Well I am not responding to that anymore but I just find it kind of lame that the OP worked hard on this solo and its a really tough one regardless of the hack cheat and because the OP used the Acolyte its deemed boring or null. Please. The person doesnt have any clue about doing Platinum solo's especially on such a tight map like Goddess. 

Goddess is tough I tell you. Its not an easy map to solo on.

It's possible on consoles. Both on and off host.  I've done it a lot.

I admit that exploiting the hack upload glitch is cheesy at best and a lame exploit at worst. If anyone feels that invalidates the solo, that's fine. I didn't really want my first solo to contain a hack cheese, but that only occurred to me after I'd already done it.

Dont stress it. Its a good solo and was very fun and cool to watch.

I remember my first and only plat solo with harrier/acolyte TGI taking a a gawd dayum hour to do. Mostly it took that much time because i used solely the acolyte from wave 6+ (because i didn't want to fail after failing 5-6 times).

So in comparison to that, great job OP. Sent an fr so we could 1v1 on thunderdome.
