Now they could've dropped the entire oceans 11 plot of ME2 no collector chasing as they're second class mooks who were contrived into having a purpose for the entire game they could've removed them made ME2 all about gathering competent people to fight the reapers Jack, Kasumi, Thane not good or needed for the plot for example. Getting critical info on the reapers like how many are we projected to get? Weaknesses? strategies to fight, repeal, or evade them? finding prothean tech to modify to fight them for 3 then have
ME3 actually use that info and all the info we've gathered over the past 2 games screw over the newbies if you join at the end of a war then you deserve to be clueless and create the game using what we've accomplished. Learn a bit in 3 for brand new strategies but not much finish up the lose ends. ME2 was a huge problem to the series the majority of which didn't even need to exist as proven by ME3 erasing it all very easily.

The reason why I was initially turned off by Miranda, by the way, had nothing to do with her coldness; rather, it was due to her being a shill for Cerberus and, as far as I knew, an enemy.

I liked Wilson more than Miranda, quite frankly. Really, what objection would I logically have to someone trying to get a Cerberus officer killed? I also didn't quite see why I couldn't whack Miranda and take the shuttle back to the Citadel... except for the fact that I'd miss out on why all this happened, damn my curiosity.jtav wrote...
I loved Miranda for shooting Wilson. "You mean we're not gong to stretch this out for a whole act?" I don't really like her romance but I like the idea of it and my mental romance is awesome.

How can you "like" a character that you know for barely two minutes?
Same way I can like a person I know for barely two minutes. First impressions are everything.

I was pretty irritated with her. It was a stupid move. We could have mined him for information, yet she chose to destroy that information source because Wilson supposedly still posed a threat to Shepard, which was pretty laughable. Take his weapon away and he's just an injured gimp surrounded by three (in my case) powerful biotics. Could have been restrained and questioned.
There was really nothing of value that he could say. We knew he engineered this plot, and we know why he did it. There's really no reason to keep him. He was an obvious traitor from the onset.

Sounds like how I feel about Ashley and the alliance. And the Council.

Actually, why he did it was barely given any attention and for months after ME2's release there were "why did Wilson do that?" and "what was the purpose of the Lazarus attack?" threads on the BSN. After Lazarus Station I myself was pretty confused because there was almost no reflection on it whatsoever. It really did just seem like a token tutorial combat level quickly swept under the rug as unimportant. Like much that had to do with Lazarus, really.MassivelyEffective0730 wrote...

I've played BW games for a very long time, and Wilson was about as obvious as Desther. So anybody who got rid of him was A-OK. I didn't really care about Cerberus--they were just random mooks to me. And here was a girl I wanted to be when I grew up so to speak.Xilizhra wrote...

He could have told us who his sponsor was and I felt the decision Miranda made was a mistake on those grounds.

But why not? Your beloved Liara is hunting him (and I really wish I could betray her to him so that I could get some actual good intel).
Anyway, I was talking about Wilson. You'd sooner cap Miranda, the woman who spent two years bringing you back because you like the guy who's trying to kill you more.
You're unreasonably biased. Any argument you have on this matter is invalidated.

It was pretty dumb. They could've restrained him too. The whole shooting of Wilson was just the writers trying to showcase Miranda as being cold.

I took at as extreme form of employee disgruntlement. Not really all that surprising to me.
