SP will get me to buy it, MP will keep me playing.

Perfectly said.

Let's just hope Bioware uses their ressources better next time.
I mean we have all that great kits and powers in MP and they did not give as all that for SP in a pricey "build your own Shepard with stuff from MP" DLC?
And what about those Collectors? If Omega DLC was worth 15$ then they could charge $50 for a "fight Collectors down a long hallway for 1.5 hours" DLC.

My opinion:
ME SP:  if you look a the whole trilogy unique in the whole RPG history so far in my opinion especially storywise
ME3 MP: good enemy AI, a lot of vaierty in terms of kits and weapons, i like the coop modus a lot, kept me playing 10 months so far - but that is what multiplayer games do, but more due to the people you are playing with than to the game content (WoW kept me playing almost 5-6 years lol).

I also look forward to play ME4 multiplayer, but I equally if not more I want to see a fascinating campaign and to be honest I have my doubts that this will be ever better implemented in multiplayer than in a single player mode.

For ME4?

SP by a mile.

I hope it can recapture some of the magic of ME1. But I'm sure MP will be great fun in any case.

For essentially a 1st attempt they did a fantastic job of ME mp. I've spent way more time on it than I thought I would. The single player versions is what gets me to buy though in the 1st place. Also regarding mp, I am not looking as far forward as ME4 right now. I'm looking at Dragon Age and possible mp play for the next game.

I voted SP. I swore I'd never do MP. But it was good. Lots of broken bits in it, but for their first crack at it, not bad.

Unfortunately with all of the lay offs, personnel leaving, site shifts, etc. I don't have much hope for ME4 tbh. I hope I'm wrong.

MP.

I won't make the same mistake again.

This time I'm making sure I get my ops packs capacity up to 10 before they cap it at 6.

It's solid and variable gameplay I want (and a decent challenge). I haven't played ME3 SP a lot because it is way too easy. Story and characters are great, but they don't matter much on your 3rd & 4th playthrough IMO. Gameplay is, and when it's good both SP and MP should be a ton of fun to play.

It's difficult to make a choice, but if the next ME game has the same lame RNG store I'll go for SP because I like to try new things out and don't have the stomach to farm for weeks or months just to unlock something new.

You're asking the MULTIPLAYER forums whether or not they like SP or MP more. You should also ask all the SP forums the same questions otherwise you'll just get a skewed answer.

I did this specifically, because ME3 MP was the underdog. I wanna see how this changed IN MP community.

Probably for the best. The SP fourms are worse then here!

The hell you say!  The MP forums never have long threads on the sexual physiology of Quarians!

MP

For the context of my answer, I have played since ME1 and this is one of my top two current RPG or Action type (or however you want to classify ME) franchises. I bought ME3 for SP and was extremely hesitant to get into the MP, especially with the hoard of bugs on launch, and for the first year that I played the MP I constantly expected that I'd move on to something else in a week or two -- which never happened (although I did take periodical breaks).

Now that Shepard's story is at an end I'm still hooked on the MP. When ME4 comes out I'm going to be buying it for the MP, and the SP will be a bonus.

Single player is the most important thing for me in most games.
Sp should always be the most important thing in a Mass Effect game.

MP single handedly ruined so many games for me. I was so happy when Battlefield finally came out with an actual story to follow. With out a story to follow I might as well just watch the news. They have senseless violence on there all the time.
