True, but on the other hand, ME3 also had a mobile app that came out with it and also could be used to affect the SP endings, so they didn't use the app as the "online component" for that game.

It really isn't that simple when it comes to Facebook, Facebook integration, etc.

Facebook is becoming so ubiquitous that the ability to interact with too many things in life require a Facebook account.

That's where the complaining comes in.  Not that a game is out for one console or another.  A game that is a Facebook exclusive, or requires a Facebook account to sign in, is not "oh, well, you don't own a PC" but "oh, you don't want an account that Mark Zuckerberg and co. will use to data mine you for a quick buck."

On top of that, the "social" aspect is nothing to do with a different console, either.  There were plenty of Shadowrun fans upset with the Shadowrun "multi-player only" game that came out.  You needed to play online with others, for what shouldn't have been an online, multi-player only game.  That's not a very good example of "social", but it is an easy comparison.

So, yeah, there's a bit more not liking Facebook being part (required) for so many things that should have nothing to do with being on Facebook than just "don't like a console, don't use it."

Yep, it's for iOS and android mobile devices. 

According to a preview I just read, it's all about combat, vs. AI or friends, and there will be about 100 characters to collect.

Mobile games are fine, IMO.  Not my cup of tea, but I don't see the harm in having stuff like ME:I.

Hey, this is EA. When they say "Free to Play", its safer to read it as "Free to Install".

Expect a hefty series of thumps around the face, endless grind, pay to win and Morrigan being IAP for premium currency that cannot be earned in game - only purchased.

The saving grace is that it isn't frigging EA Swiss Sarl doing the development work. They have an amazing ability to rub me up the wrong way when it comes to freemium games.

I was pleasantly surprised to the turnout for some demonstrations of this game at the BioWare base during PAX.

It isn't really my cup of tea (I rarely play mobile games in any capacity), but a good number of people showed up to discuss it.

That is depressing. Dragon Age has been pretty good about being rather fair to both sexes, for the most part. Whether mage, warrior, or rogue, women wear the same armor as men (perhaps with slightly different peaks and valleys...).

But here, we see that Leliana, as she gets more powerful, decides it's time to show off the ladies. I know Bioware is not developing this game, so I hope it's not seen as a negative mark against them. But honestly, I thought this franchise was better than the "chain mail bikini" crowd of hack fantasy.

I won't get up in arms, because like I said, it's a different developer. But please Bioware, stay away from this sort of thing in DA:I.
