Heh. Back in my day, we called if "pubstomping" and it was done in PvP games. But, it is way more fun to get 5x some pug TGI Harrier's score using a Claymore DrellGuard than it was to win CoD matches without letting the other team score any points.

I took a four month break after maxing my manifest. I got bored of Defiance so I decided to come back. I still have friends who play this game. I don't feel so bored with it anymore. Then again, I really haven't started to grind out all the challenges either. Just playing for fun.

I received a new way to play a kit from a buddy of mine last night.
as well as convincing me that this man is a genius, it also breathed new life into the game for me.

I've never had so many moments like this with any other title THIS far into it's lifespan.

Dude...I did the same thing (6 months though and BL2 rather than Defiance). 

Started from launch, got bored.  Took break.  Came back.  Maxed manifest, BoTB, etc., etc.  

Now bored again.  So another ME3 MP break. 

Well Saints Row IV comes out tomorrow, followed by GTA V next month.  So that should distract me, mostly GTA.

When Bioshock Infinite was released I took a breakfrom ME3 MP (I was getting bored at that time anyway) and played various other games for a while, but none of them seemed as much fun, so now I'm back playing this...

Still as fun as day one. Only grind for me is building up & getting better but I thoroughly enjoy that too.
Being able to pug Platinum and know that I can take almost any team to the promised land is extremely gratifying. 2 months ago I wouldn't have attempted it without 3 friends with huge backpacks.

Yeah, the skill increase is a huge part of why I still enjoy this. Note that I didn't play any shooters since Doom before I played Mass Effect. I had a lot of difficulty finishing ME1 and 2 on Casual difficulty the first time through.

When I first played ME multiplayer, my bronze success rate was about 20% at best (and I was probably getting carried in those games that were successful). The one time the match making system dropped me into a Silver game by mistake, I thought it looked impossible and it would forever be beyond my measly skills.

Now, I can carry the most hopeless silver PUG with a level 1 character. I can carry most hopeless gold PUGs unless I get unlucky. I don't really play Platinum, mostly because I primarily PUG and that just leads to R/R/P ad nauseum.

Sure, better weapons helped a lot. But a lot of it is also skill improvement. I'll never be as good as some of the people here, but I'm very happy with how much I've gotten better since day 1, and I'm still getting better every time I play.
