Possible solution for the DLC causing save corruption on PS3, after all this time.

I believe I may have found a solution after all this time. At least if you do Legacy and Mark of the Assassin right before doing the final quest.
Here's what I did and I no longer get manual saves that corrupt once you get to the Gallows in the final quest:
First off, before you start the final quest disable autosave and go to a place where you can freely change out your companions (Anders clinic is a good place). Switch out all your companions and level them then unequip all their equipped gear, then switch to the companions you haven't leveled and unequipped and do the same as above. Now go to Hawkes mansion and go through both your inventory and storage and junk then destroy all equipment you got from both Legacy and Mark of the Assassin (I tested it with just Legacy and just MotA gear junked and destroyed and still got the corruption). Hawkes Key is the only piece of gear you cannot junk and destroy but it didn't cause me any issues.
After that start the final quest and play through until right before the spot you normally would get the corruption and make a save, for me I ALWAYS corrupted in the Gallows when you can interact with your whole group of companions. After making the save in the area before your normal corruption spot try to load it to make sure it is going to load, it should. Now proceed to the area you normally corrupt and make a save once you're able to and try to load it, it should load.
From then on just proceed through the rest of the game and any manual saves you make should load just fine, if not retry from your most recent working save and finish the game. Your post game save should load fine, mine now does.
Its got to be caused by some sort of conflict between gear from Legacy and gear from MotA. Even just having Legacy gear in your inventory after finishing MotA would cause my save to corrupt.
I'm very happy because I now have a post game save for DA Inquisition, hope this helps others with this issue.

How do I know which items are from the dlc? I have a post game save working but without the Legacy dlc being completed. In that same and only DA2 save/playthrough I have done, I completed MOTA at the end of chapter 1 without problems but when I tried to complete Legacy I think at the end of chapter 2, my save was corrupting somewhere in the tower (see older posts) so I couldn't complete the dlc. What I did was that I reloaded from a previous save I had and used the "transport" to return to Kirkwall and continue the game with less than half of the Legacy dlc done. So everything was fine until I got to the final dungeon. I was getting the corruption somewhere after the Gallows part. So I decided to just complete the game to at least see the ending and to my surprise the post game save was and is working. So what you are telling me is that if I destroy the items I got in MOTA I may be able to complete Legacy and have a working save file ready for DA3?
Go to the dragon age wiki and go through your list of items between your inventory and your storage and any items with the tag "scaled to current level when acquired" (or something similar, I forget how its worded) in it is most likely a dlc item. You'll have to do some digging unfortunately, but its worth it if it works. Took me around a half hour to find everything. On the wiki you can search to figure out if an individual item is from a certain dlc, it'll tell where it can be acquired on its wiki page. If you get past Legacy and can get a working save anyways.
Here is a link to the wiki: http://dragonage.wik...Dragon_Age_Wiki
Its very well possible that you can complete Legacy with no issues after destroying your MotA items, but I don't know for sure since my method used the last quest of the main story, and I didn't do Legacy or Mark of the Assassin until right before accepting the final quest. I do know that when I had both Legacy and Mark of the Assassin items in my inventory, or even just items from one or the other after completing/playing both, that it would corrupt on that quest. It never corrupted during either dlc's though. That's likely because I didn't do them in separate acts and did them in the same act. This glitch seems to effect the act finish saves in an odd way too so its hard to tell, seems the save corruption during the dlc is more likely if you complete the dlc's in different acts.
If you still have the save from before the final quest you could try and delete them from there, then try and finish Legacy and delete any equipement you get from it, its worth a shot if you have time. If you manage to get saves in the tower during Legacy to work then you could try and complete the main quest and see if you can get a manual save to work in the area it normally corrupted in.
Make sure you disable autosave though before trying anything, it still corrupts and I don't know but I believe it might cause manual saves to corrupt too.

Anyway, this is great news and I will try it today! I was about to write a post regarding my thoughts on save importation and the DLCs, then trying to come up with a best case scenario but I'll try this and add in my experience here in a few hours or so when I get to it.
P.S. You put this thread in the wrong place, otherwise I would've seen it earlier. If my results are positive, I think I'll make a post linking this thread in the PS3 issues section so that more people will know about a solution.

Could you just destroy the DLC items as soon as you were able to, instead of keeping track of them? It seems a waste, but better safe than sorry.

I'm playing it right now and will update you ASAP.
Update: And I just ran into the Orsino bug that happens if you kill him too close to the edge.... and with no auto-save to back me up I have to restart The Last Straw quest so bear with me here.

I would expect that would work just as well, and might work for some who did the DLC's in different acts and are getting corruptions earlier in the game because of that.

As for putting this in the PS3 issues thread, you can't post in there anymore. It was all integrated into EA's Answers page now and they locked everything in the PS3 issues thread (along with all the other issues threads)
That Orsino bug happened to me a few times while testing. I was able to get a working manual save in the area right before that part though, and also get a manual save to load in the Gallows right before you talk to Orsino to initiate that set of fights, the save right before initiating those fights in the Gallows ALWAYS corrupted on me before I deleted all my Legacy and MotA gear, but never did after.

Oh, I'm sorry then I didn't realize that area was locked. I am here, however, to report that I got A SUCCESSFULL SAVE AND HAVE NO MORE CORRUPTING ISSUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was curious though Snake, are we to presume then that you left all the other DLC stuff alone like The Exiled Prince and the Mage/Warrior/Rogue Item Packs and just dumped then the Legacy stuff and Mark of the Assassin stuff? If I remember correctly you don't have the item packs, right?
I decided that I didn't want all these extra variables, so I instead went a bit overboard and destroyed ALL my items that I had equiped on everybody and basically went into The Last Straw with zero equipment (as well as absolutely nothing in storage). The only things I had left were The Hawke's Key, Gloves of the Champion, Robes of the Champion, Boots of the Champion, and Bianca. Every other piece of equipment I decided to destory, and anything I picked up I destroyed as well as I went along. I figured that we won't need the equipment after this so why not just play it REALLY safe.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks a bunch for the solution and my mind can now rest easy now that I don't have to worry about importing corrupted saves!!

I have all the dlc's, including The Exiled Prince, Black Imporium, and all 6 Item packs. I only destroyed the Legacy and Mark of the Assassin stuff and got working manual saves in areas where it corrupted before destroying the Legacy and Mark of the Assassin stuff. I never destroyed my other dlc stuff until I reached my box, but I really doubt they mattered since my saves started working before I destroyed any of them. If its in peoples interests I can go back and try to get a post game save without destroying my Item pack and Exile/Black Imporium gear and see what happens, but I really doubt they have anything to do with it.
I did unequip all my characters and only equipped my characters I was using. Its got to be some kind of conflict with Legacy and MotA gear, and once you finish both dlc's it causes ALL Legacy and MotA gear to glitch regardless of if you only have just Legacy or MotA gear in your inventory. I spent probably 3 hours testing different things with the Legacy and MotA gear, trying to determine if it was one particular piece or the whole and those to dlc's have the be the issue. The gear in general, outside of Hawkes key, have to be the cause.
The only thing I did notice is that my autosaves STILL corrupt even with everything destroyed, outside of the postgame save (and I'd imagine any save that triggers even with autosave turned off) that is.
I'm SOOOO GLAD others have had the same success. I actually now have renewed interest in Inquisition! YESSSS! You don't know how happy this makes me lol.

I don't know why I didn't think to pm you about this after our conversation last year so I'm sorry that I didn't. I do want to update that I'm 100% sure the other items from the dlc packs, Exiled Prince, and the Emporium are fine. I had all the companion specific accessories from the six item pack dlcs for my three endgame companions on them and never destroyed them. I just remembered that detail lol.

Not sure but I think it works the same as destroying them. If you have access to the shops you sold the stuff to you could check and see if you can rebuy them. If they are gone from the shops then I'd expect they were treated like they were destroyed. I can't remember how selling items worked in DAII since its been a while since I delt with the shops.

Yeah it's not like DA:O you can't get the items back. I saved everything in my storage because I had suspected that it could be an issue, so when I went to apply the solution above it was fairly easy. Hopefully it works out for you JEC94 and if it does make sure you let us know!

I have tried reading from context here but don't quite understand when I am supposed to see the problem. I usually play MatA right after Act II and then play Legacy near the end of Act III but always leave myself about half a dozen quests to complete before the finale. I am about ready to play MotA again in my current run through but now I am worried when I read stuff about corrupted saves.
If you've never had problems with it you likely aren't effected at all. I have a hunch that its a memory issue that only effects certain ps3's because of the slight variations in the hardware inside a ps3, but essentially the combination of Legacy and MotA items in your inventory causes a glitch when saving in certain area's that makes those saves unloadable.
Do you also have the item packs installed? And if so which ones? Regardless, save importing will no longer be an issue now that they announced the Dragon Age Keep cloud service.

I really suspect it is variences in the hdd in the PS3 that causes the dlc's to corrupt then. I doubt you'll have an issue, but if you do please either post in here or pm me. I'm very interested in the issue even if it no longer needs to be solved.
One last question though, with the item packs do you normally destroy/sell the dlc equipment from them that you don't use or do you just leave it either in storage or in the original box its in?

I really suspect it is variences in the hdd in the PS3 that causes the dlc's to corrupt then. I doubt you'll have an issue, but if you do please either post in here or pm me. I'm very interested in the issue even if it no longer needs to be solved.
One last question though, with the item packs do you normally destroy/sell the dlc equipment from them that you don't use or do you just leave it either in storage or in the original box its in?
Whatever I don't use from the packs, and some items from the game (eg Wesley's Sheild) I put into the storage chest.
I will let you know if I have any issues.
