Mordin Solus. He’s the best character in the game, and his backstory is linked to the
best mission in the game, which stems from the most interesting
elements of the Mass Effect universe.

Btw, Commander Shepard in a popularity poll, vote for him if you are a fan of his.

That should be fairly obvious for me.

Voting for Commander Shepard as a great character is a bit of a weird thing, because Shep really isn't much of a character as much as he/she is a shell for the player to project themselves onto.

It always feels like people are voting for Mass Effect rather than Commander Shepard.

This may come as a shock...(or not)

Thane

His character is brilliant. Humble and repenting yet extremely deadly.

Hmmm, let me think. Have played many Bioware games since BG1, but not all (still haven't finished KotOR).

Antagonist: Jon Irenicus
Protagonist: Commander Shepard
Female Companion: Aerie/Tali
Male Companion: Garrus Vakarian

Canderous Ordo, Wrex, HK-47, and Silk Fox. I tend to not like many if really any of the more recent ones, except maybe Varric.

Damnit I want a Jade Empire Sequel.
Or even better, a Jade Empire remake (and please some more content, it's sooo short!) and THEN a sequel!

Overall Favorites: Morrigan and then Alistair.  Why Morrigan?  Sarcasm, language usage, isolation, contrarianism resulted in my favorite interactions with a Bioware character.  Why Alistair? Sarcasm, goofiness, negativity and passive aggression.  Why Morrigan and Alistair together?  The insults.  The teasing.

Mass Effect favorite: Mordin.  Why?  Manner of speaking, reflection on past decisions, ending.

Baldur's Gate Favorites: Jan and Viconia.  Why Jan?  Lame humor and rambling stories.  Why Viconia?  Stories about her past during romance dialogues.

Game with best villain: Jade Empire.

Best one-liners: HK-47.

Viconia. She isn't one of those "Chaotic Good"-type hero drows yet she's sympathetic and ambitious.

Next is Garrus. Anti-hero, vigilante, arbiter, squadmate.
