So at first glance this is really far fetched, but I recently recalled the fact that in some King Arthur mythology that Morgan le Fay (Morgana ... Morrigan?) is the daughter of a sorceress named Vivienne.

With the idea floating above our heads that Flemeth might actually not be Morrigan's mother (despite the same colored eyes...and resemblance to her sister Yavana) I think this could be actually pretty interesting.

It could explain Morrigan's magic, and I would like how ironic it would be that Morrigan's mother is/was the First Enchanter in the Chantry. I could see a lot of plots stemming from this as well. I could see the Inquisitor going on a quest to find Vivienne's long lost daughter and have it actually turn out to be Morrigan.

It's also interesting that she is an Oralsis mage, and that is where we can assume Morrigan is/went to.

I guess the question is now, who is her father? Does it matter? Is this theory even true?

What do you guys think? Have anything to add? :)

I've never heard of Morgan le Fay being the daughter of Vivienne.

I've heard of Morgan being named Vivian. And the Lady of the Lake being named Vivian. Never that one was the daughter of the other.

I have to echo this statement. I heard of the Lady of the Lake being named Vivienne or Vivian (along with a host of other names) but never Morgana's mother. They share no connection beyond being key figures in Arthurian legend.

The only times I've ever heard of Morgan le Fay's mother, she is named as Ygerna, specifically, Arthur's mother

But, did they not say themselves in the video that she was a teenager?

Gaider wanted players to wonder what she was talking about every time she opened her mouth, but soon decided with the team that the whimsical Morrigan just wasn’t working. Gaider had to completely rewrite her, and he liked the idea of having a character speak obtusely, so he came up with a compromise. “I decided rather than make her like Flemeth, [I’d] make her a teenage girl who just resents her mother. [She’s] completely blunt because she doesn’t like that her mother talks in circles,” Gaider says.

That's from the Game Informer stuff

He's talking about her personality. She is not a teenager in Origins.

He's not saying she's literally between the ages of 13 and 19. He's saying she's acting like a teenager.

Do people think I meant she was literally a teenager? Gosh.

As Mary points out, I meant her personality. As in specifically the relationship between her and her mother.

I wouldn't think I'd need to clarify that, but evidently I do.
