Hope it returns.
Of course in pro sports it's pretty much the kiss of death to have sex right before the big game, match, or o event.
Wonder if it translates over to combat.

Soo...kissing should have a negative impact on your stats?
Cause that would mean my PC would be doomed to constantly getting beat up.
Priorities.

Anybody remember the Betty and Veronica love triangle trope?
http://tvtropes.org/...ettyAndVeronica
I'm a Veronica person. Garrus and Zev are great examples of that. I hope they have a similar setup in DAI.

That's actually an urban legend, the logic behind it being that sex somehow lowers your testoerone a significant amount and makes you less competative, which is bull****.
Besides, if I were in a situation where tomorrow was a big potential world saving battle and I might die, you're damn right I'm gonna have sex with my SO first, lol.
And as for the whole wooing aspect being discussed, I dunno if anyone here played NWN Hordes of the Underdark, but that so far is the only Bioware game I've played where I prefered the male romance over the female one, simply because romancing Valen happened like an accident, but it turned into a very sweet romnce. And he called me "my lady."

I would probably make a dwarf character just for Varric too, lol.
Also, slightly off topic, but has anyone discussed how the whole dwarves on horses thing is gonna work? Seems like it would look a little hilarious. I doubt there are a ton of horses in the Deep Roads, lol.

He made a Twitter post saying he was doing voice work for the new Dragon Age. As far as I know, people are going off of that, unless there's something else I don't know.
It doesn't seem too farfetched that he would have lost faith with the templars after seeing what happened to Meridith in DA2, so it makes sense to me he would join the Inquisition.

But...what's the point of having a kid if you're not there?
(Unless the kid is solely for continuing the bloodline or to insure someone is there to take care of you when you're old and weak.)
I mean, I wouldn't minds kids if they fit into the storyline (or are part of the epilouge), but it seems like a waste of resourced if you're not there to see them grow up.

I'll not make any assumption myself, but I will say this to the Cullen fans out there: Have you ever been close to someone with from severe PTSD?
Because that seems to me to have been his most defining characteristic, ever since the incident in the Tower of Magi in Ferelden. I can tell you(from personal, as well as second hand, experience) it's not easy, and, somewhere between "sometimes" and "often times", it can be a nightmare, regardless of how much you might love them("them"; as in "anyone", not Cullen specifically). I'm not saying I don't see the appeal, but there seems to me to be more crazy in that package than Fenris, Merrill and Anders put together. And not the good kind.

That last part was a joke. I think an epilogue slide would be cool, though.

It seems interesting if he has some kinds of trauma, maybe we can help him overcome his problems. If not, I think a story arc about accepting that person for who he is would be nice. I think it would be more interesting than constant mushy romance like with Alistair. I get bored quickly. Admittedly, I don't personally know anyone with PTSD, so I can't comment on the extend or how it would affect my headcanon if my PC romance Cullen.Thomas Andresen wrote...

He was also in the leaked survey.
At this point, I'm leaning towards NPC, perhaps one of our agents.

Please, no. I'm honestly kind of sick of playing the therapist to my love interest's problems. It's why Garrus was such a breath of fresh air for me--also because he's seriously the only one I can ever remember who ever took interest in how MY CHARACTER felt.
I don't see the appeal of Cullen as a love interest, honestly. I mean, yeah, he was cute in the mage origin, but I'd expect him to have grown up since then.
Now, Cassandra as a love interest is pretty much a given. Dorian seems likely. I'm not sure who else would be romanceable, though I'm actually against Varric as a LI for the sole reason that if my Hawke, who knew him for ten years, couldn't hook up with him, there's no way someone he's known for a few weeks/months should be able to.

Unless Varric simply was never attracted to Hawke but happens to be attracted to the Inquisitor?
It is possible. :innocent:

For me, it's that gnawing compulsion of hope.

As I said, I'm not saying I don't see the appeal of him, his qualities and whatnot, just that someone with issues like that can be unpredictably frustrating to deal with, and that's something you should be aware of, and prepared for, going into a relationship. Many of the effects of dealing with people having PTSD, especially severe degrees, are indirect; it can affect your life in ways not directly related to the one with the issues, nor your relationship to him/her. Granted, it all depends on how long the issues have festered, but ten years is more than long enough in that context.Battlebloodmage wrote...

And even more, someone with PTSD(or many other psychological "disorders", for that matter) are never "cured", but rather learns to "deal with" their issues. The issues don't go away; you just learn to work around them. The hardest part is that you have to continually, indefinitely, work on "dealing with" the issues, because otherwise they'll come back to first bite you in the arse, then trip you, and finally kick you while you're down.
But now I'm derailing the thread, so I'll stop there. If you want to discuss this more, I'll take a PM.

Kinda, yeah. But also the fact that in both Origins and II, the first female featured in a trailer (Morrigan, Isabela) was the "canonical" love interest for a male character.
