HNNNGG.

I seriously wonder how my giant, ashen-skinned oxman is gonna kneel down to mack on my love interest, though. Maybe the Qunari will just... lift them up?

Ahah XD Remember that tweet about the horse scene? Maybe sb falls, hurts their leg and our fine Inquisitor has to carry them on bride-style :D?

I am rock-hard for that idea. This is going to be amazing. Here's a question: are they going to modulate the Inquisitor's voice like they did for the Arishok in DA2? Make it nice and deep? I hope they do.

Ohhh, just imagine the voice. Fangirls'll melt
Qunari lady looks especially fabulous <3

May I at least flirt with Iron Bull? PLEASE? Btw I'm all for him being bi
I think that if we play as a kossith Iron Bull will react differently and his personal quest will go differenty as well

I totally agree.  However, the writes do need to have an understanding about some of the issues around those sexualities in order not to make it cliche or stereotypical.  And it works both ways.  I've seen terrible gay themed movies with awful stereotypes of straight people and it is equally offensive when that happens.

You beat me to it. Most lesbians i've seen were written by straight men and my gawwwwd. The stereotypes. I'm talking about movies and series of course.

Sure, there are men who are great at this as well but the majority often does stereotype.

This also means we will be seeing female Qunari, which is cool. Ach! I was so so sure I wanted to be an elf but this is really temting... I may have to do more than one playthrough.

Oh my god, I will have a hard time to choose my protagonist's race.
And i'll do so many playthroughs with different race. I'm so excited.

Oh god we can play a Qunari.

But what if one of the LIs is a female elf.
A small, dainty, female elf.

Now that might make for a funny romance. (Poor thing though.)
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this is where the romances get more nuanced. At least I can't blame the dainty little elf if she'd rather not start anything with a Qunari.

Unfortunatelly this is the way human brains work. It's too much work to analyze every person individually. Most people prefer to generalize. Brains can't comprehand all the information, so they make safe generalizations which makes sure the person doesn't ends up in trouble (e.g. it may be a racism, but avoiding immigrants from other countries probably is much safer than trying to personally meet and udnerstand each one)
It's not a good excuse for a writer, since they just have to think outside the box and see beyond the barriers

Slightly off topic:

I would love to see the statistics on DA: I race selection after not only bringing back elves and dwarves, but also adding in qunari.  I wonder if it will be as stacked in favor of humans as DA: O was?

You know what I would find kind of interesting?

If you could not initiate romances if you're playing as a Qunari. Because they simply aren't interested in it. Your PC just doesn't do that kind of stuff.

I mean, I would be kind of disappointed if that was the case, but I'd still find it interesting.

I can't stop laughing at the idea of persuing a romance with an elf as a Qunari. I really hope there is a Qunari LI as well so we can see it from the other point of view :D

I think the player would be a Tal'Vashoth, so I'm sot sure they would necessarily hold that opinion. I could see it being the case though, for simplicities sake. They do keep stressing about it being 'your' charcter though, and restrictions like that would deny control, which is what they seem to be avoiding this time around.

To be honest I think that's a bit of a cop-out as well. I'd rather they actually explored the prospect of a Kossith-human/elf/dwarf relationship, which is something that hasn't really been explored much so far.

Well, the Inquisitor has to be Tal-Vashoth. Plus I don't see why not? Qunari may be forbidden from sexual relationship in their homeworld... but dis iz not ther homeworld, baby :D!

Though that would be interesting for sure...

This is why Tal-Vashoth is the only way to go. The Qun's restrictiveness clashes with player freedom and choice.

Not to mention a female Qunari fighter has  to be a Tal'Vashoth by default.

I'm so excited I can't even type properly

It was stated that qunari do have friends and bonds. Just sexless ones. When a baby accidentaly is born the parents are scolded and reeducated at worst.

Still, I don't think the Inquisitor can be a qunari. They just use this term to adress any kossith

I wonder how the models would- err...line up and such. Perhaps they'll try something different for the romances this time? If the Iron Bull is actually a Kossith companion, perhaps your Kossith Inquistor can romance them? Similarly your dwarf could romance Varric, your elves could romance human and elven companions since the models aren't (presumably) that far off in height difference.

Not sure if that's making sense or even all that smart cost wise, but its interesting to wonder about.

I REALLY want gray skin and horns, but I don't want to cause my LI any uterine or cervical pain.

BioWare, please give us a female Qunari. :)

Hmmm. Interesting. But you know, i'm more attracted to a qunari/human or qunari/elf or dwarf/elf. I love these kinds of pairings.:D

Oh me too for sure, assuming that's him in the promo shots, "You see that back??! Somebody has been working out." Here's hoping that if he is romanceable, they don't screw it up like they did FemShep and buff James Vega.

I can't get over how hilarious romances between a male Qunari Inquisitor and a non-Qunari LI could be.

Inquisitor: *takes off pants*
LI: "Oh HELL to the no. You are not getting ANYWHERE near me with that thing!"
Inquisitor: *sadface*

I know we're on a Qunari kick right now, but I must call attention to the fact that Varric's chest hair is back.
