 Hey guys,

So, we know 1.04 caused huge issues with the cutscenes in Exiled Prince content, and that reinstalling to 1.03 fixed it, but you lose your saves. I've been exploring this issue recently, and I seem to have found a solution.

I've posted this to the answers HQ, but I know I still come here for tech support first.

This error only happens with Legacy installed - I was experimenting, and discovered that if you update to 1.04 without Legacy, it's fine. Some more playing, and I have a workaround that works without killing saves:

1. go to your program files -> DA2 folder -> addins

2. In addins, find prc_drk_ something

3. inside that folder, open module

4. select the 'patch' folder, and "cut" it to the desktop

Play Seb's quests - it should work perfectly normally

Replace the patch folder when you are done.

You could just delete the patch folder completely, but then you won't get the dialogue fixes Legacy got in 1.04

Let me know if it works for you!

I'm playing through again, though my Hawke is only in the 1st act so far. If this works, you're a godsend!

The above fix worked for me.  I had a save game inside the vicount's keep at the beginning of the 'Faith' quest, followed the above instructions, and the cut scenes played out just fine.  I replaced the 'patch' folder after finishing the quest and everything seems to be working as intended.  Thanks.

If you mean that the scene fades to nearly black whilst "loading..." appears in the right corner, you could also try to press Escape. That worked for me and I didn't have to move files around. Worth the try.

So just back playing this game and remembered this problem. i was excited to see this but then i looked and saw that I have no folder called "patch" under the module folder. Is it named something else? I even tried removing the whole module folder but the glitch still happens. Do i have to remove the folder before I start the quest (Faith in this case)?

Edit: Just read above that someone did it in the middle of the quest so it's not that. I can't figure out why no one else doesn't have this "patch" folder.

And I'm on a mac so maybe I'm looking in the wrong place? Or maybe the fix doesn't work on macs..

Edit 2: So I realized that since i got Legacy after 1.04 already was out I don't have a patch folder. I guess this also means that I can't do anything about the glitch right? Too bad
