Cullen seems to break the concept of 3 per class, but I do expect him to be in the game; so I'm guessing he is disenchanted with the Templars and joins the Inquisitor as an agent. He would still be romancable, as were Chambers, Traynor, and Cortez.

Note- I have crap-tacular internet and can't watch the videos at decent quality so I've missed a lot, but... I have questions.
1- are we absolutely certain Vivianne is human? I know she is from the Orlesian Circle, but with that hat of hers she could just as easily be an elf.
2- why is everyone assuming the Grey Warden is a warrior? Could he be a rogue (like Nathaniel...)?
3- could fancy facial hair/trident staff possibly be Rhys (he was a healer like him mom)?

I'm thinking scribe girl, Leliana and Cullen are all good candidates for "agents."

no matter what, I'm excited about all this new info we are getting!

1 - she looks too tall and I think its mentioned anyway that she is a human

2 -  he is holding a shield

3 - No idea. Rhys seems too important from Asunder anyway to become a party member. I'd assume he'd be along the lines of an agent like Leliana or Cullen could be.

I'm thinking that there's going to have to be 2 romance interests for the ladies. Of the females here, it sees that quite a few have the potential for romance (Vivienne, Cassandra, Sera, plus theres likely another lady coming along).

I'm sorry mister Iron Bull, but I don't think people are going to be having cross species qunari sex with you anytime soon. Like Wrex.

Dorian could end up being pretty old. Like, crazy-wize wizard old.

And Varric... well... Varric has Bianca.

That leaves pretty much just Cole and Cullen as romance choices. If Cullen is a companion he'll undoubtedly end up as a romance. People on this site have been beigging for a Cullen romance forever.

The ninth companion will probably end up a woman (for the sake of equality). That would mean that if Cole WAS a companion he would have to be a LI too. Otherwise a lady inquisitor would only have Cullen with no other choice.

Man, I know the logic behind that is a little crazy, but I'm trying to justify to myself that its IMPOSSIBLE to have Cole without romance.
I'm not being very reasonable.

I still like the idea of most of the companions being romanceable, but any given inqusitor will only have the right qualities for romancing 2 or 3 of them. You wanna romance Varric? Gotta be a (female?) Dwarf. Want to take a ride on the Iron Bull? Only a Warrior will do. Is Vivienne your cup of tea? Better be a mage then. Gaider was talking about how he liked the idea of companions having prefferences. I think this could be the best way to appease the players who want to romance pretty much everyone, and the players who think it's ridiculous for so many of the companions to be "player sexual".

9 companions with hopefully 3 from each class seems fine. Who they are matter less to me, their personality as written ingame will be what determines who I'll have join me when traveling. This is why I sincerely hope DAI change the approach taken in DA2, where character specific skill trees basically locked the companions into certain roles, e.g. one being more or less forced to take Anders unless you played a mage healer yourself. A generel rogue skill tree available for all companions rogues with the possibility of respeccing during the game is what I'm hoping for, then the companions can be whoever Bioware want them to be

Which was not a good thing

I'm sure they'll go for the DA2 style: equal number of compagnons per class: the "9 compagnons" just screams "3x3"

Since Vivienne seems to be your damage mage companion, there is probably going to be another mage companion whose initial abilities are more focused on healing. (DA:I's Wynne)

So long as I can restat them to my specification like in DAO and DAA, then I'll
be happy. I found DA2's forcefully restricted skill trees both annoying and unnecessary.

I just hope us woman get an awesome, hot guy to romance. Not some ****ty love interest there was for female Shepard in ME3. I think BW did a good job for us females in DA2 actually. Rest of the ME/DA games, not so much.... :/
