A healing Magister sounds a bit too strange.

Why? I assume that in a Nation, which is ruled by mages and threatened by the Qunari, Creation Magic and Healing Spells are as important as Blood Magic.

The problem with that is not lore related, but, instead, gameplay related. A blood mage uses his hitpoints to cast spells, so if a healing spell restores more life than its casting cost we end up with overpowered characters.

Dorian might not even be a blood mage. He's described as not your typical magister.

I hope Dorian isn't a spirit healer.

I believe he is. There was a mention in the 'Until we sleep' comics that one banished magister could do some incredible heailing stuff.

I'm so here for ways to make healing more interesting.

I think Blood Magic healing could benefit a lot from leech healing. For example, in The Secret World a certain percentage of your assault rifle damage could be turned into healing. In Neverwinter, a Devoted Cleric can put a holy symbol on an enemy, and any ally who damages this target would receive some healing.

I think that this kind of healing where you have to spill the blood of your enemies would be very fitting!

Thats what I'm getting at. We have rumours about a Magister who wants to change the Tevinter, as far as I'm aware (Fenris says so) all Magisters are evil beings with Blood Magic who use it to control and destroy. What if he used his Blood Magic to save and protect others? In both games it's always been there as a "DPS" Form, I think it'd be amazing to have it around to heal. I mean it's blood, it's life force. Why not.

Things like what I said earlier, or even have it so they can mark someone so that if they take damage or die, they heal your allies around them. There's SO many different things we can do with that type of healing that could make the game a lot more fun from a healing perspective.

Bioware pls! :P

Huh, it might be him. I'll just have to wait and see.

I see.

However, not every Magister is a Blood Mage. So gameplay might not be effected at all.

Edit: Oops, missed ElitePinecone's post.

Agreed, that would be quite awesome. But I guess she'd have to be Tal-Vashoth since women can't be warriors (like Sten points out very early in DA:O).

Women can be priests who stab things though, like Tallis, so female Qunari companion is possible.

Am I the only one against having a Bald Elven Mage as a companion?

Doesn't sound too appealing.

I don't know if a female Qunari would be physically attractive enough to be a realistic Li.

PHYSICALLY ATTRACTIVE ENOUGH TO ME

The problem comes with the way the qunari consider love platonically and are forbidden to fornicate out of affection.

So a female kossith qunari should be a Tal'Vashoth

Which means no female kossith at all. For what sake we need another Tal'Vashot in the party if there has already been Iron Bull in da house?

Because they want a female kossith in their bed.

I'm kidding, but I'm not even sure it's far from the truth.

I want more of the previous companions back...or at least appearing...oh hell who am I kidding I want to see them all at some point. Especially since some can be very integral to characters stories if they were your romance choices. I like varric, one of my favorites cassandra could be interesting but I'd still like 1 or 2 more of the old companions.

9 seems a bit much to me, I hoped for just 6 or 7.

I prefer "less is more" when it comes to companions. Less companions but more dialogue, backstory, personal quests, banter, interjections during conversations, reactions to events...
I felt that ME2 and Awakening had way too many companions for example, you did their quest and then they just stopped talking.

And Awakening was an expansion. Don't think the comparison is really fair personally.

And it was an expansion and not a full game. You also got one companion really late in the game and didn't get their backstory before the end. I always felt it would have been better if they just had a party of 4 you got early and had a bit more substance.
