The romance fans can hardly contain themselves at the thought of romancing her.
People were whooping and hollaring when she shattered that gate.
Yes whooping is bad, rotfl and I thought the gate shattering was over the top and unrealistic , I think that made the fans even more excited about her.
The only problem I have with Cassandra is her face. I preferred her DA2 look. Some Bioware employees seem to get upset at fans who criticise Cassandra 's look or Morrigan looks.
They shouldn't take it personally.
shrugs.

I much preferred the original Casandra at least as far as Appearance went but that not surprised it changed a bit given the change in engine.

Like the new look more. The DA2 Cassandra looked like half of my female Hawkes due to the somewhat limited CC. The new Cassandra is more unique.
This. I remember one of my first Hawkes also having short black hair and it always made me twitchy to her looking so similar. I hope the companions all maintain really individual looks. Origins was bad in that it was a little too easy too accidentally make a character who looked too much like Alistair or Zevran or Leliana.

that's a bad excuse IMHO (yes, you might never get it exactly right - but 95% is ok...but what they have is 60% IMHO (if i showed both pictures (only the face) to a person that didn't know the character, then he or she would probably tell me that it's two different people, and that is bad (same for Morrigan IMHO))

Its a valid change in art style from one format to another so it qualifies as a valid reason to provide personal opinion.
If it falls outside your own, that is your perogative.

I never had a warden that looked like Alistair or Zevran, but my FemWarden did look a lot like Leliana.
Made their romance scene doubly awkward, along with the matching undergarments.

I don't really mind the shield bash. It's a skill and many stuff can be arguably non-realistic. I agree with you on Cassandra's face though. She looks manly now. I like her look more in DA2 honestly.
What i fear Bioware may probably run out of ideas and just slap Cass-Aveline here.

There is nothing new under the sun. Archetypes do exsist. Archetypes like the strong female warrior character which Aveline was and Cassandra seems to be. But it´s the details that make a person unique.
Example: You can compare Thane and Carth, both are widowers with problematic sons but that´s all. They share some kind of archetype but still are very different people.

Canderous = Sten and Aveline
Mission Vao = Leliana and Merill
Carth Onasi = Alistair and Anders
Bastila = Isabella
Juhani = Morrigan
Jolee Bindo = Wynne and Flemeth
Zaalbar = Shale
MK 47 = Zevran
TM34 = Varric
Mandalorian = Qunari
Blood Magic = Dark Side of the Force
Blood Mages = Sith
Mages = Jedi
Circle = Jedi Temple
Tevinter = Korriban/Sith Academy
So it is not shocking to see similarities

If anything, Shale would be HK 47.
Shale in Orzammar, looking at the beggars: "Do we kill them? For sport?"
