actually, i was more thinking of them going hand-in-hand. an off-ratio of male:female companions would equal less opportunity for one of the sides. i think others sort of got that idea from what i said too... just putting in perspective though when it came to romances.

Jmk, that doesnt change the fact that women (and homosexuals) have lacked equal options for 3 games in a row; I think that you and me missing out on a small romance from DA2 was fair enough.

That's fine, to each their own. After all, there are threads where people are "requesting" certain looks (tall, dark, rugged, etc) in their potential love interests like they're going through the drive-in at Burger King. It's just that that is not the driving force behind who I would like to have as one of my companions in the game.

a femdwarf shale WOULD be interesting. but i fear that would kill the whole vibe. besides, the likelihood of shale no longer being a golem is pretty slim since she was still a golem by the end of asunder.

Cole would be such an easy DLC character to make, nobody notices him therefore they don't need to write any dialogue interaction or have any acknowledgement from regular characters inquisitor could be like Rhys, and the only one who really talks to him. Bam! Done

(Actually I'm not really that pessimistic, I'm sure a DLC Cole would have far better story integration than that)

I'm not too worried about the slaves, as I'm sure they would never include a companion who condoned that. It's more the blood magic I'm worried about. However much I loved Merrill as a charcter I always found her use of blood magic incredibly off-putting.

Anyway, If he is in the game hopefully he won't be a blood mage.

Like someone pointed out a few pages ago, he could be the healer in the comics mentioned by Mae - though I suppose even that doesn't rule out blood magic.

The name "Dorian" kinda makes me uneasy also, if it's a homage to the Wilde character rather than being a subversion or ironic interpretation of it. Dorian Gray deals with some murky magical elements.
