Final Battle (PC specs?)

...till the final battle.
The enemies barely moved...and the damage did not register till a good 5s to15s later.
What part of the PC would I need to improve to fix this battle...and make it fun?
Thanks in advance.

You might try lowering your graphics setting in the game. There's a lot going on in the final battle and it could be that your graphics card can't handle all of it.
I see...I assumed it might have had something to do with the RAM...since the graphics are fine everywhere else...and my PC character is moving and attacking without a glitch.
It's just the enemies that are "not moving" and the damage I do to them is not registering right away.
Can you confirm that this is indeed a GPU issue...and not a RAM issue?
I just need to know the right thing to upgrade before actually upgrading.
Thanks.

Is this the actual final battle, with the Archdemon, or just the bit at the gates? Because the bit at the gates is problematic for me - though not as bad as you describe - but the final battle works fine.
Yeah, it's the fight at the gates.
The battle with the Archdemon is fine for me as well.
It's just rough...spending all those hours leading up to the final battle...and then having the battle be so underwhelming because of that issue.
It's worse because all my specs are at or above recommended.

did you check how much available space you have on C ?
how long since you defragmented the disk ?
how much ram do you have ?
what CPU do you have ?
what graphic card do you have ?
what OS do you run ?

As I said, try lowering your in game graphics setting first and see if that improves it. With everything going on during that fight, it's enough to lower the framerate despite that fact that it's fine every other time.CDR David Shepard wrote...

This is true for me too; actually my game is rough the whole level until I get inside Fort Drakon, and it crashes a crapload. -.-" Lowering the settings does make it perform better but it does nothing for the crashes. :3

From what I understand, crashing has been a problem from the start. I was warned to save often. My particular crash site was doorways. I always made sure to save before I went through a door.Secretlyapotato wrote...

My son-in-law, the computer whiz that told me about saving often, said that if crashing becomes a big problem, try logging out then enter the game. He said that seemed to solve the crashing problem.Secretlyapotato wrote...
Unfortunately much of the crashing happens midfight when I can't save. Therefore I find that I have to retry a long fight several times until I get lucky. <.> lol

I just reload and save often. Seems to take care of it for me. Before I duel loghain, I usually just start the game over completely. It's annoying, but I'd rather close the game on my own terms then the game crashing.
