I've loved every piece of information so far, I mean, so far it looks good and the combat pre-alpha actually looked pretty nice as they only showed Bioware is building the skeleton before adding the neat touches.
Oh, and the Dev Diary was godly C:

This is my favorite thread in the whole BSN! Good on you for being awesomely optimistic! You're right, we should be thanking Bioware.....THANK YOU BIOWARE!

But i fear that if that hat doesn´t make it into the game the backlash will be Horrendous.

Quite frankly I was ready to throw my hat in for my complete support of Bioware's Company. With the Doctor's leaving I felt that Bioware would be completely "EA conformed" with the only focus being on making money.
I want to say right now that the announcement that DAI was going to be delayed by one year filled me with joy. It meant that Bioware is devoted to making a great game as opposed to making a quick buck.
The interviews since E3 have only increased this joy. So ultimately the thing I have to say thank you most to Bioware ultimately is thank you for listening to your loyal fans. From every thing I have heard, all of you have seen the mistakes made and done your utmost to rectify them and provide a game that your fans will love.
We still have a year until Dragon Age Inquisition, but I am once again behind Bioware 100%. Thank you for caring about your fans and customers.
Also, on a more minor point, every single thing I have heard about Dragon Age Inquisition so far I have loved! Keep up the great work Bioware!

But seriously, bringing the races back is awesome and they made a good call doing that. The graphics are looking awesome, the tactical combat is looking awesome, the exploration is looking awesome....
The list goes on.

Well, I mean it's a big step. At what point does it become simply "Dragon Age in name only!" Is nothing sacred!?

Truly it is an abomination that these people ask for such outlandish things as bowstrings. Do you guys know how complex it is to implement proper bowstrings?
There's sooo many different types of bowstrings ... and then there's crossbow strings too. Do you know how much a decent bowstring animator costs per hour and bowstring?
Besides, Frostbite 3 is a great engine guys, but's no miracle worker!
Gee, what are you asking for next, actual scabbards instead of free floating weapons? The gall of it!

The point at which we no longer end up covered head-to-toe in blood spatter after every fight. That's far more iconic than the lack of bowstrings - I mean, our last protagonist decorated hir face with blood and everything. And I bet it will look even prettier in Frostbite 3.
(The other day I was watching some Spartacus with my best friend, who has never played any DA games, and when someone got covered in gore she said 'are you sure this isn't Dragon Age: The TV Show?' You're notorious.)

It wasn't so bad in DA2, although it did have a fantastic bug during development, where the algorithm to keep it away from the eyes got reversed, causing the blood to ONLY appear near the eyes. And since there isn't much real estate, you end up with a Hawke with some pretty intense, poorly applied red eye makeup that was actually quite horrifying.

So, THAT's where the iconic Hawke bloodsmear came from, huh?

At this point I am weirdly sentimental about it, even though it's pretty ridiculous, maybe because it's something so many people have joked about. (Although if they tone it down for DA:I I would no doubt get used to it.)

I want you to know that when I say 'LOL" here I really do mean that I laughed out loud *g*. I bet my blood mage Hawke would have rocked that look.
I'd love to see more DA bloopers some day if you guys have them lying around somewhere. I remember seeing a good reel for DAO, but I don't think that we saw any for DA2. Although I don't think we ever saw the silent, naked bald men that stood in for the spiders in DAO before their models were finished, but maybe that's just as well ...

Please tell me that somebody saved a screenshot, or that recreating the bug would take a mere 2 seconds so a screenshot could be made. I would love to see that!Allan Schumacher wrote...

I want to be able to have a noble dwarf, crazy blood-magic-loving elf or a scoundrel human, just as a few examples. Basically I want to have a different experience when playing the different races/classes, and not have it be strictly superficial with maybe a couple of differences.
Replay value is very important to me, which is why I played Origins so many times trying all the different races and classes, and roleplayed as a totally new character each time. DAO had that kind of replayability, which DA2 didn't really have, and I hope DAI can recapture that feeling.
Maybe this isn't pertinent to this particular thread... ah well. Maybe someone will read it.
Anyway I love what I'm seeing so far. GG Bioware, hats off to you.

Isn't it great we had a toggle for that.

Love these anecdotes.
On-topic: cautiously very optimistic about DA: Inquisition. The game looks fantastic, and I hope the result will be worth the wait.
I particularly like the range of concept images we've seen for the Inquisitor and the customisation aspects of making the organisation into something shaped by the player.

Also... that dark area in the later bit of of the vid. I'm at work so I can't pull up the exact time, but I'm excited for it. I don't know that it's the deep roads, obviously, but it looks like the book makes me picture them. I never thought graphics were all that important to me compared to story and characters, but as I play more games (I wasn't much of a gamer before I discovered Bioware) I'm starting to appreciate how much they add to feeling really connected to the story.
In short: Squee!
