Yep, love the cabal, got my first Silver with her. And I have just unlocked the Lancer so I will give that a shot XFG. (btw think I sorted the problem with my main account).

But the lancer is absolutely great on her! I always play the cabal with an incendiary lancer and acolyte, I find it to be very effective, gives you really good range and sustained damage.

They're recommending the Lancer because it's funny to recommend that I use the one weapon I don't have.

That's great! I was actually about to post a comment on your profile to ask whether you managed to get your character xp levels sorted out, but I think it's set to private. Anyway, glad you got that problem sorted out

Oh dear  sorry, I actually had no idea. It's not the only option, you can always use the harrier/raider/wraith/claymore on her She's got a steady pair of hands and can make any weapon work, the lancer is just really good on her.

Don't take my word for it, but I think it has something to do with biotic focus allowing you to see through walls and the fact that, if you see something through a wall with the javelin, you will actually hit it, no matter how thick the wall is.

I could be totally wrong of course

I've actually never used the particle rifle on her, never thought of it really, might try it next time. Harrier is definitely > lancer in terms of damage, way better, but I hardly use the harrier anymore, I only play on unknown maps so if I get dagger hazard/condor/giant/Vancouver, you're pretty much screwed if you're using the harrier, so I'm no longer using it. Prefer the lancer overall. Got screwed over really badly on dagger hazard last time I used the harrier, not touching it again.

Why would I do that with Cabal when I have way better snipers?

Because of the glitch when the Cabal equips a Javelin, that's why. Means you can see enemies almost anywhere on the map without scoping or using geth scanner. Not really my cup of tea but I can see why it'd be interesting to some.

In short.

Javelin + Biotic Focus = Wall hax without Geth Scanner.

The enemy will manifest as black silhouettes whenever the Javelin has enough penetration to see and shoot the enemy.

The walls in this game are kinda everywhere in thickness so it's possible to see through a lot and shoot through a lot more than you could previously.

This Glitch also works with the AIUs repair matrix, but now that they nerfed the duration it's a lot more trickier to actually use with her.

I'm not a fan...i used her a couple of times and keep forgetting she's not a true vanguard...her poison strike is underwhelming and i really don't see folks dominating matches with her as with other kits..she seems like a really good support teammate.

Don't use Poison Strike as a spammable attack, only use it for mobility and detonations.  Her Heavy Melee is really more her equivalent to Biotic Charge.  It doesn't recharge your shields, but it also has no cooldown.  Use your HM, follow it up with LM if necessary, and then either teleport to safety, open fire on other enemies, or use HM again to teleport to the next enemy, as the situation requires.  And if you're having trouble staying alive, just spec Biotic Focus for shield boosting at R6.

6/6/6/0/6 MELEE MONSTER! short-range double dash PS. HM in, PS out, then run whooping like a mad medically-trained lobster-man. (And of course spam the crap outta BF for damage boost/ shield replenishment, since everyone will be trying to collect your ass for the sole purpose of returning it to you personally). Suicidal? Probably. But fun as hell, and few things are more gratifying than killing a Possessed Abom and it NOT returning the favor.

The Cabal's Biotic Focus and the AIU's Repair Matrix, when active while using a Javelin, can sometimes cause enemies to be visible through walls even when out of scope, appearing as flickering dark silhouettes. i will read this thread again later. I just had a 4 cabal match with Spallboy, rusty and altbouli. Was ok, nice to spam biotic focus and shrug off damage but i cant say that i felt like i was doing major damage - but then i do depend a lot on power spam characters and never really play weapon platforms. I'll keep giving it a go.
