Been trying to get all ultra-rares since 2013. Play plenty of Platinum.

RNG hated me..Took me over 2,000 hours to max...I was one of those accounts that got stuck due to some glitch with the Collector SMG being stuck at a certain level  ..for me it was Level 3. I talked to other people this happened to they said it was the same thing.They got a Collector SMG upgrade then the UR's stopped for them entirely....I spent a ridiculous amount of credits and didnt get 1 single UR for almost 7 months at 1 point .....It sucked. For some reason once Destiny came out..All the UR's started dropping  on me like crazy. 1st one was a Collector SMG 4....Everything came to me over the next 2 weeks  I had like 30 UR drops in that time period to max.

About 120 or so UR's to go. But... nowadays it's kind of difficult to get a good group together for gold. I don't even want to think how long it would take to max the manifest with just silver games  

I would trade 10 of my rares for just 1 Harrier. The troll store just won't give it to me.

You actually have to play to get credits you scrub.

I maxed my manifest at ~800 hours last year around February. When you're on PC and millions of free credits are only a few clicks away, it's insanely hard to fight the temptation....harder than a VolSent, Geth plat solo and armed with nothing but a Shuriken and no consumables.

My buddy Al on 360 says it's been nearly 7 months or so since he's received any type of UR at all.  I know he's been playing at least 2 years now and most of his URs are like Rank II, with a few that have not even unlocked at all

^^^^^^^^^ Most of the people I talked to that had that same glitch that your friend and I had , they wound up quitting..I almost did but I love playing so much, I didnt care about unlocking every thing until I got towards the end. Who knows how many players stopped playing due to that same problem. it becomes a situation where you feel like you are playing for no reason, after a few month's of no UR's when you have so many to go and No matter what you do, you are stuck and it's frustrating. I contacted Bioware several times. they never responded.

I have the exact hours somewhere, but I was around 340 hours to max Rares. That was playing a mix of Silver/Gold.

I can finally update this thread because...

 

My manifest is now maxed! 

 

 

It took 979 hours; not bad. I'm not super proud admitting I played a video game for so long

 

Now I can happily retire. At least until ME:A comes out (depending on if it's actually good)

Well, my CSMG is at III now. I've got a couple of URs since but it has been 20 games on Gold since I've unlocked another UR (APs).
