I've been looking at the Armax shop quite frequently and am wondering, why can't you buy more stuff there?

Image IPB

For the clothing, you could get stuff like this:

Armax Arsenal Hoodie.
Promotional T-Shirt.
T-Shirt "I got the top score at Armax Arena and all I got was this lousy T-shirt"

Posters

Armax Arena posters (apartment and/or Normandy cabin decorations).

Not sure I'd want to buy the Blasto posters, not unless I can tape them to the targets at the Spectre Firing Range and shooting them.

After meeting the actor who plays Blasto, I'm not that impressed with him anymore.
Diva jellyfish much?
Should have poured vinegar all over him! :o

One great thing I always wanted was to purchase additional bonus powers features in the MP, such as Poison Strike and Arc Grenades. The Armax Arsenal would've been a great shop for that.

Go back to Chora's Den or Afterlife. (Different games, I know.)

None of that stuff would excuse the fact you win the Cerberus versions of the armour in the arena. That still pains me even now.

Yeah, that still aggravates me as well. Why Cerberus? It doesn't make any sense.

I would say it is kind of odd that you end up with a lot of Cerberus armor, but considering you can get better single-stat bonuses from armor pieces, the armor does not mean a whole lot.

For the most part, the Cerberus Armor you can win in the Armax Arsenal Arena is only a slightly better -- and free -- version of armor you can buy earlier in the game or obtained from preorder:
 - Cerberus Spirit Armor = slightly better Inferno Armor
 - Cerberus Nightmare Armor = better N7 Defender Armor. Also better than if all Armax Arenal pieces used (no helmet).
 - Cerberus Shade Armor = slightly better Collector Armor

You can still get better weapon damage, power damage, or power recharge speed if you focus on that particular armor pieces, which is arguably better than they hybrid stats provided by the full armor sets.

yeah it is a great way to buy newer MP abilities and armors.

Yes I love those Cerberus Armors and I want more Armor in general. A part of me wants a Inflirator with Shadow strike and Phrase disputor. And I am a xbox user.

That's not the point. It's about aesthetics. Bioware took two gorgeous armor sets(shadow and Demolisher) and doused them in Cerberus colors. They could've easily made them Alliance, Spectre or customizable like in MP. It was a stupid decision. To this day, I still can't figure out the rationale behind it.

I don't think the Alliance or Council would allow their equipment to be distributed as rewards for an arena show. Cerberus equipment seems more plausible though as they could be possibly looted from battles against them.

Anyway, on topic, I would've loved to have seen more from the shop, perhaps more apartment deco? Maybe a cutout stand of Blasto? I definitely agree with others that unlocking MP powers would be so nice, but just having the arena (and apartment) is more than enough for me for replayability.

N7 Shadow Armor is A Reskin of the Phantom and Nemesis. And Demolisher is a reskin of the Cerberus Engineer.

And the slayer is a reskin or Lieutenant Bastard Kai Leng.
