Hey guys,

i have started a new playthrough and this time i wanted to do it on insanity. But i feel no difference.. the enemies are not stronger and i dont think that they deal more dmg than they did before.. nor they behave smarter.. they dont try to flank me (just an example)

I just finished the "Priority Cidadell II" and i can kill every trooper with 3-4 Phaeston shots.. phantoms die with 1 Talon headshot (unleveled and no mods, only liara ammo buff).. so i have started wondering..
Isnt insanity compareable to the platinum difficulty (multiplayer)?? Because platinum always was a huge pain for me and insanity feels so easy..

Is this just because the difficulty is adjusted to 1 player? instead to 4?
Or is there a known bug? I did recreate my character because i wanted to play another class.. so when I was on earth with my new shep, insanity was already activated.. according to my ingame options.. Could this have caused a bug?

Now i played 30 hours in this playthrough.. more or less.. and the idea of not getting the insanity achievement is annoying me..

regards,
TaliiFan

Enemies are stronger and they do more damage.

Combos scale with the difficulty modifier though, so they do about the same damage.

Enemies also have 100% shieldgate on Insanity, which they don't have on any of the other difficulties.

ingame options say that i am playing on insanity.. but i never noticed a shield gate on my enemies.. maybe an atlas had one.. hard to say.. but i can tell that the phantoms didnt have any kind of shieldgate..

quote from ME-Wikia:

"For weapons that fire multiple pellets, such as most shotguns or the M-358 Talon,
the shield gate will apply to the pellet that destroyed the
shields/barriers, but the rest of the pellets will cause full damage."

this would explain the "lacking" shieldgate on the phantom.. ill test the shieldgate with a sniper rifle.. so if there is no dmg bypassing the shields, I can be sure that i am playing on insanity?

If it says Insanity, you are playing insanity.

Most people think ME3 is the easiest of the 3 on Insanity.

this was worrying me a lot.. because I didnt change it to insanity on earth, because it was already activated from the character I created and abandoned before.. i thought this might have caused a bug..

but I just noticed that the CAT6 Specialists have a 100% shield gate.. so i guess I am safe..

thanks alot

Lol, this thread is funny.

Insanity is painfully easy... is this a glitch?

Hahahahahahahaha!
