Towards the end of the Sci vs. Fi part 2 vid, Thane says, "This was to be my last job. I'm dying." Seriously?! What the f*ck? Also, I think this deserves its own thread, rathe rthan one of the others. This is just too monumental.

We're all dying, it's only a matter of time.

Note that usually I don't care a lot about spoilers and just read them, but this was such an unnecessary one.
EDIT: It's like saying the main character of your series will die. Oh wait...

But it definitly brings a little more depth to the character, I can't wait to have him on my team!

Ditto. Maybe the guilt was beginning to overwhelm him (perhaps even making him feel suicidal), so he decided to make this his last job.

i only like this theory because i don't want him to literally be dying, but it doesn't really seem like a very good plot point. "i wasn't planning on doing any more missions because i'm dying, figuratively speaking of course." what does that even mean?

Anyways, I suspected that there is something like this. There has to be an explanation for an assassin being overly zealous.

People have to remember that Thane is extremely religious. "Dieing" has many connotations.
