**SPOILERS!**

Towards the end of the Sci vs. Fi part 2 vid, Thane says, "This was to be my last job.  I'm dying."  Seriously?! What the f*ck? Also, I think this deserves its own thread, rathe rthan one of the others. This is just too monumental.

I literally yelled "WHAT!? NO!" at my laptop.

I am not happy.

We're all dying, it's only a matter of time.

Yeah, as I wrote in the gametrailers.com topic, I found this spoiler to be slightly too much. Why would they reveal something like that already?

Note that usually I don't care a lot about spoilers and just read them, but this was such an unnecessary one.

EDIT: It's like saying the main character of your series will die. Oh wait...

My brother was watching it with me, and informed me that my FemShep better get a move on romancing him, since he's dying and all. I was too busy freaking out to say anything.

maybe he has fish-aids (sorry about the bad taste reference) or some kind of other terminal disease? Or maybe he's at the end of his "life cycle"; I'm don't really know much about Drell physiology.

But it definitly brings a little more depth to the character, I can't wait to have him on my team!

I'm pretty sure that he means it in a philosophical way.

EDIT: Grammar fail

gee, how philosophical of you.

i think it's safe to assume that he's not talking about aging.

Yeah, that spoiler was immensely unnecessary to put in that vid.

I actually thought that was part of his back story, before you recruit(ed) him. Don't forget that he was an assassin before he hooks up with Sheperd and he's in there killing people. I thought that was why he said "This was to be my last job.", he was lamenting that he was going to continue with Sheperd.

Ditto. Maybe the guilt was beginning to overwhelm him (perhaps even making him feel suicidal), so he decided to make this his last job.

i only like this theory because i don't want him to literally be dying, but it doesn't really seem like a very good plot point.  "i wasn't planning on doing any more missions because i'm dying, figuratively speaking of course."  what does that even mean?

Yes! Finally something interesting comes up.

Anyways, I suspected that there is something like this. There has to be an explanation for an assassin being overly zealous.

He could also mean he feels like he's dying; his job is eating away at him.

So much for the whole "Garrus being sick" theory.

Anyone know whose voice that is?

People have to remember that Thane is extremely religious. "Dieing" has many connotations.

It's not a huge spoiler in any case. Judging from the scene it's right from where you recruit him. You shouldn't take these scenes out of context; there's many ways to interpret what he means.
