Heh.
When it comes to message boards, I'm lazy. It's easier - much easier - to talk about what I didn't like because there's so much less of it than what I did. I perhaps take for granted that the writers and developers "will just know" that I love the game they've made and the story and characters they've written, without me ever having to say exactly why.
I mean, in short, the "why" is because
they made it,
they wrote it and, together, they're BioWare.
I've been a fan of theirs for over a decade now (whoa!)because no other games developer has engendered in me that same, consistant sense of "belonging" that BioWare has. And I'm not talking about the community - I'd consider myself something of an outsider in that sense - but rather how, despite playing an ungodly number of games, it's only when I boot up a BioWare title that I'm guaranteed* to feel absolutely right at home. Whether it was in the Forgotten Realms, a galaxy far, far away, the Milky Way or Thedas, they've told great stories that I wanted to be involved in and given life to awesome characters that I've wanted to know.
The gameplay is never anything to sniff at, either.

I'll clean up all this gushy stuff, now.
* Well, okay, the Sonic game wasn't really my thing. But I still finished it!
