I beat the game ages ago with a level 40 Shep and now I have the DLC, so..

If I start a new game+ with my 40 Shep, will I be able to import the level 40 Shep even if I don't finish a 2nd playthrough?

How long do I have to play until I can go do the DLC planets?

Basically im worried I will lose my ability to import my current Shep in ME2 if I start a 2nd playthrough and dont finish!

yes, it's a separate file (just don't save over your last saves that you use in your first playthrough to be sure)



you have access to the x-57 asteroid as soon as you can fly the normandy!

You can import any Shepard provided they beat the game.

You have Shepard1 and Shepard2, you beat the game twice on Shepard1 and once on Shepard2. Once you get a prompt to transfer your character into the sequel it'll look like this:

Shepard1.
Shepard1.
Shepard2.

It never overwrites, it could fully be Shepard1 a thousand times and you'd be import them.



About the DLC question, you get access once you get the Normandy.

thanks, from starting new, how long will it take to get access to the normandy?

not long, if you don't do any assignments on the citadel (as in you want the liara achievement), maybe 45mins to an hour.
