Because I don't recall ever having to use them all that much. They were always kind of there, never used. Should they return in Inquisition? If so, should they be given a slightly stronger effect to make them more viable, or no?

So long as it feels more tactical then yes. In DA2 they felt like another spell in my character's bag of tricks. My wife loved them though and made some crazy poison bomb specialist and she had a blast!

Maybe salve/grenade/poison + skill = new/better effect
And no, never used them either.

In DA2, crafting those costs money (as well as buying), and on higher difficulties you'll need money to buy every healing/mana potion you can find. I tried a grenade once, but wasn't satisfied, my Hawke had more powerful moves than that toy.

I only used grenades, but those were rare

Yes. To all.

I used grenades; some of the grenades in DA2 were really nice to throw at the enemies. It meant that most of them were stunned for a period of time, very nice. I also used potions and salves. And I also use the smear poison salves on my sword etc. - really a nice way to deal with enemies.

Nope. I got rich off selling them, though.

Poisons and grenades, yes. Salves, only for the dragon fights.

The BSN is trolling me.
Last attempt: I used tar bombs and combustion granades on ocasion, although more for roleplaying purposes than their effect in the fight. Most of the time I forget I even have tem.
If it comes back for Inquisition it has to be more useful and the crafting more complicated imo.

I used poison and grenades, Not all that often but the grandes or bombs really helped in some tough battles.

I use the revive grenade whatever it's called if I haven't got Anders. Otherwise, not so much.
I'm not very keen on them as a mechanic really. Spamming consumables to get through a tough fight feels cheap and like a defeat to me - but maybe that's unfair, I really didn't try them enough to assess their balance in DA2.

Absolutely used them yes. I played with alot of rogues in both games so poisons and grenades were highly useful, and more importantly fun.
Poisons were especially good in DA2 where they were like a 30 minute buff.

I used everything yes, but only in one fight: the Harvester on Hard and Nightmare.
Aside from that I try to never use anything, not even health/mana potions. I like to rely only on my characters' skills and abilities.

Nah, maybe once or twice. That's about it.
I wish we could get more spells and abilities instead of those.

Used plenty of grenades with my rogue, occasionally a poison and never any salves. Grenades are good for a rogue without any AoE attacks, the poison would be much better if there was an auto-apply mechanism in place since i never remembered to do it, and salves i just didnt bother with cause the game was already too easy. Overall, they were all too expensive if you wanted any of the sweet higher tier gear.

I never used any of them. In Origins or DA2.

Poisons in DAO.
Made one every time I saw a death root.
Applied one every time before a semi-challenging battle.

In DA 2, I used them frequently because they were simple enough to create and equip.
I suspect in DA:I, they'll change crafting again and I won't bother.
