Nope. Never used them, never felt the desire and/or need to.
I admit I don't have the patience to devise a plan for when to use the stuff when all I want is to get all this damn fighting over with.
Did You Ever Use Poisons, Salves or Grenades?

Rarely.
Most the time it was because I either didn't have the right ingredients due to lack of inventory space, or it was too expensive to purchase them. I did find myself using them more often in DA2, because I didn't have to carry individual components and they weren't that expensive.

The only crafting system I've ever enjoyed in a game was in Odin Sphere, so no, I don't use these consumable items. I deeply hope that DA:I moves away from consumable items in general.

Only late game and only in DAO. But they shouldn't remove them cause only a few people use them. They could be useful in a hard boss fight and I rather have poison or bombs than conveniently placed siege weaponry that is indestructible

On most runs, no. But one of my favorite DA:O runs was a City Elf Trap Specialist. Heavy stealth. Lots of traps. ~_^

Yep, fighting brass statues used fell grenades.

I use poisens in DAO alot but I used them sparingly in DA2. On one hand, it was VERY NICE that they lasted so much longer and I didn't have to carry around all the components in my backpack...
On the other hand, I remember there being FF on just regular sword swings and Fenris wrecking my squad WITHOUT poison so there was no way in hell that I was going to hand that crap out like candy, Which sadly for me, took away alot of the fun. Especially when ingrediants could be missed in earlier acts and the best poison wasn't even availble until pretty deep in act 3 anyways - LAME.

I'd rather have skills like: Etiquette, Forgery and Engineering.
Less orientation toward the Combat Obstacle Course method makes me happy.

I find myself not really using bombs, grenades, and poisons in the games I play, even when available.

Potions are quite useful for everyone, especially Mighty Offense and Life Ward.
I find Poisons to be fun, especially Crow Venom.
Grenades are weak because their damage don't scale with your character's stats or spec and can't do critical damage.

No to poisons (personal choice), but grenades and salves were useful for my Rogues on solo playthroughs.

Only time I ever use grenades is during non-mage, nightmare runs of the GoA harvester fight, otherwise they just seem like more trouble than they're worth when a mage (or in DA2 anybody) will usually have a spell with a similar effect but better.
I don't use any poisons or salves, ever. I think that poisons would be more interesting if they were more powerful and had more interesting utilities, but were consumed on the first hit, so they actually become a tactical consideration instead of just being a slight buff for the duration of a few fights. They'd also go better with rogues and assassins that way to make attacking from stealth that much more desirable, which seems like it should be the point of them. Don't really see the point of salves at all.

I used them all. I enjoyed the extra bit they added to the battles.

I like using poisons a lot and salves are pretty useful on higher difficulties but in all my playthroughs I think I only used grenades about 5 times

On my new DC Rogue, I may take tier 2 in poisons just to make grenades, they're the only things I find helpful

I used a couple warmth balms against the Arch Demon so my party was less squishy and I used a rock armor against the Wyvern in DA2 but otherwise, nope.
It seemed tailored towards Nightmare playthroughs which are too micromanagey for me.

I was always baffled by the people that cried about traps being removed or whatever from DA2. Talk about utterly useless wastes of time. Put a skill point into any AoE ability and you have something about 20 times more useful than any traps.
But I guess "its the tactics gawl!"

On the note of traps....has anyone used that skill? Ever?

I put a point in it to get the like 30 XP from that girl in Lothering. Then I used a respec mod to put it into something useful afterwards

Only on nightmare difficulty in both games.
Otherwise, they were not really necessary.

I felt like: "If I -need- all these buffs to get through a battle, my strategy must be inadequate, I didn't earn it." Or something along those lines.
Also, I didn't want to spend points on expensive/hard to craft potion skills when I could put points in coercion, blah blah, instead.

Because I don't recall ever having to use them all that much. They were always kind of there, never used. Should they return in Inquisition? If so, should they be given a slightly stronger effect to make them more viable, or no?
In DA2 I only remember using them in one particularly annoying Act 2 boss fight, since I failed it so many times I bit the bullet and used every edge I could find to improve my chances. Otherwise I didn't bother.
In DA:O I used grenades and poisons much more frequently since they were relatively common loot drops, and because stacking every single poison onto a single weapon is funny enough to do once in a while, but didn't care enough about salves to use them very often.
I only played on normal mode though. I expect the salves were more useful as the difficulty was ramped up.

I never used them; I preferred to spend all my money on bling for my Warden.
I have issues when it comes to consumables--I'm so stringent about saving them "for emergencies" that I never actually get around to using them. So some time later I realize they're just taking up room in my inventory. So I sell them. Too many years playing games where there's always that ONE DAMN FIGHT that you can't get past without using every potion/flask/trap/explosive you've ever found, EVAR.
Except nobody actually designs games like that any more and if they do I just turn the difficulty setting down.
But I like to have them anyway. Maybe some day I will actually use them myself.
