So wait if we are worried about a party in our pocket dose that mean for the rest of the time we have a horse in our pocket? Seems like a strange place to keep a horse to me...

Well, we just need a wagon to pile them all into and rumble abt the countryside. Like Lil Inquisition on the Prarie...
edit: srsly tho, if it comes down to that, I am such a banter junky that I would walk if it meant more banter. Banter>Mounts. jus sayin.

Yeah, if the companions vanish when you mount, I'm not using mounts at all for the first playthrough or two.
I'll use them for subsequent playthroughs when I just want to reach my objective as quickly as possible.

My personal guess is that not only will party members not disappear out in the wild, but they will also mount their own horses (which the player can select for them).

Hopefully more that than Oregon Trail... "Varric has died of dysentery!"
Samesies though. I love mounts but I've always used them in games where I travel solo like Red Dead Redemption, Skyrim... well, left my follower running behind anyhow. I'd rather have the banter personally.

I love mounts and they might just keep banter within towns or keeps where you can't ride your mount.

It's possible. Mods did it for Skyrim after all...

I'm guessing that is the approach they will take with mounts because I heard someone mention something about issues with pathfinding in one of the threads. But I daresay they just had the Inquisitor roaming around without a crew in the trailer.

If they do disappear I'll probably not use mounts. How are you going to have that sweet sweet party banter if said party is chilling in the astral plane??

I would not use them either. It fills me with great sorrow but while skipping that super sweet deer mount would be a shame, exploring Thedas without the party'd be very lame.

It could all be a big misunderstanding it was A. pre-alpha footage and B. they might have just not chosen party members for that point because they hadn't got it worked out or something

If it is indeed the case, it would be a huge disconnect.
... not to mention we'd miss out on The Iron Bull's mount.
