Hi BSN,

I just landed in a game where the host was running some cheats (a single shot from a Disciple from the London sniper perch to the other side of the map downed an Atlas, while getting an Atlas rocket to the face didn't do a point of damage). I succesfully ruined the match by walking around with the pizza (and amazingly wasn't insta-kicked once I landed in the lobby); is there a point to reporting the host as a cheater? All cheat-related stickies have been removed from the forum, so I'd have to look around even to find the e-mail (which I don't want to do if it has no benefit   )

It has no COD report option. If it did, it wouldn't do much unless you were on XBOX 360 where you get banned from LIVE. I don't play Xbox, but PS3. If EA still cared, then a lot of people wouldn't be playing these days.

Playing on Bronze is Cheating. Playing a Volus on Platinum is cheating. Complaining on BSN is cheating too. Lolz.

While I can understand your reticence (we don't know if anyone's really going to pay attention or take action); I would go ahead and report them since it's the right thing to do.

Letting them go unpunished sends the message that cheating is perfectly acceptable when in fact it's entirely unacceptable.

Poor dear, I normally would suggest reporting, though considering that Bioware seems not to care, then one shouldn't bother and just collect credits and go.

Not all PC player's, some of us do have the skills and experience and can play without resorting to cheap tactics.  And limiting this accusation to just PC group is narrow-minded.  I've watched plenty of vids made by people on beating certain factions on Gold, later Platinum saying how good they were, when in fact  it was because they were so OP through stacking mods etc.  Xbox mainly I think.

I will never understand the mentality of saying that you have reached a high N7, or have millions of credits, or completed all the challenges several times over, but only through cheating.   That isn't an achievement but it is a sad reflection of the times that this is occurring more and more.  I couldn't care less if you cheat in SP but doing so in a MP environment DOES affect the other players in the match and is NOT acceptable.  Some of us have to work quite hard to gain the credits as we don't have time due to work/family commitments to play for 12 or more hours a day.  It just ruins a whole match when one/more players are OSK every enemy on the map at Gold/Plat level or getting 40k points per wave.

I wish cheaters could or would get creative on PS3. These days it's nothing but people who can't even missile glitch properly. They just run around with a Destroyer and a Striker for two or three waves before they drop. Husk mode? Sniper Disciple? Immunity to Atlas missiles? I would love to play a match with some of that.

I'm flabbergasted by all the indignation that gets posted on BSN regarding cheating. Where I'm from snitches are lucky if they end up with stitches; We were always taught to walk away when it wasn't our business.

And before someone throws their sanctimony at me with something like "obvious cheater is obvious" or some other asinine accusations I would advise they look at my N7rating:Ultra Rare weapon ratio; It's ****.

That's seems like a pretty odd attitude to me. Does it only apply to minor things?
