Probably because Varric is the one who's coming back in this game.

I can bet if Oghren or Sigrun were to be companion in DAI, they would be the current poster dwarf.

hey you are right, but is Sandal a kid? I mean we don't know the height different in a kid or adult  of a dwarf yet. But I'm wondering how my kid with Morrigen will look also lol, and he will need to meet his cousin!!!

And come to think of it, I have no idea how old Sandal's supposed to be. I always figured him for a teenager, just a bit different upstairs...

Though the little girl dwarves must look like grown women, because it's a well-known fact that female dwarves are more womanly than the ladies of other races.

Well Morrigan will have to tell us about her half-dwarf child and it will be even funny with our pc been a dwarf and she react on it, how she was with a dwarf once. My dwarf warden was with Leliana.

Also, the game is most likely on the surface so that's a insta-castless, no matter if was royal family before.

Did I miss that bit of history (I keep finding codex entries I haven't read)? If Kal'Sharok destroyed the house of Cadash, what would that make a Cadash then, classless? smith? warrior? exiled surfacer?

I haven't come across anything that suggests the family has somehow "fallen" but we are on the surface, so either way we personally have come down (gone up, literally, I guess) in the world.  I do hope that being Cadash means we'll have some serious Kal-Sharok business, though.

Yea I looked it up on wiki a while ago, Kal'Sharok destory the House of Cadash. So I guessing our dwarf quizzy family was already on the surface to begin with, maybe from a merchant. I mean we got to think why would dwarves go topside. Exile, Merchant, and Casteless.

I'm thinking about romancing Leliana with a dwarf. Not sure if they should be noble or casteless, though.

i think i speak for us 99%ers that we need a seprate section of character creation specificly for the beard,So we can down and dirty with the custimization
