Yea i touched on this a little early, but yea you went more into details, thank you lol. I think our Dwarf pc left to make his name into something again by joining up with the Inquisition. That just me though, I hope so much comes with our Dwarf with that last name and just in genera. Dwarf need more light and shine in this story, and I help this by being a Dwarf. :D

Leaving for the surface to make a name for him/herself makes sense, but leaving to join the inquisition doesn't considering that the PC will be the first member of the Inquisition in 1000 years. It's not really something that anyone in Thedas would "go join up with".

Well not to make a name for him, but his family name. Well see, I was thinking that he was the only one that survive in something leaving him to be the only one. But If that was the case, then he could have tried to build up the new inquisition in his family name, if every race is a background for different reasons for the inquisitor. :)

So, what kind of reactions do y'all think NPCs will have to a dwarven Inquisitor? How will they differ from other races in that regard~?

Hmmm, that's a really good question. I think it depends on if the dwarf inquisitor is a surfacer or from Orzammar/Kal' Sharok. Obviously dwarves will react friendlier to him/her, but maybe chantry followers won't like a dwarf leading a powerful organization? I'll have to think about it some more. :)

So we get to build out-posts and stuff... but I hope we can model those out-posts to look Dwarven made.

If Kal-Sharok isn't in the game, that would be pretty lame. Much of the game takes place in Orlais... a trip into the northern mountains is all it'd take. I'd like to see exactly how the dwarves operate there compared to its blusterous counterpart in the east, and I'd also like to see what ol' Renvil Harrowmont is up to.

Wouldn't mind catching up on Orzammar since my dear brother was crowned, either... and what kind of effect Renvil's survival might have on Orzammar and Kal-Sharok's already strained relationship. A dwarven civil war, perhaps?

Make it happen, Bioware.

I'm more interested in Orzammar's "circle".... If you help Dagna in her quest, the Circle and Orzammar open a "circle" in the underground, beyond chantry's supervision... Maybe those guys can offer something or contribute in some way.

Well been a dwarf, people always react to not expecting a dwarf to be worried about people topside. Like when the

dwarf warden was been at ostager, the reactions was suprised that it was a dwarf being recruiting, except the ash

warriors with their dogs. But as i said before, I'm going to make dwarf more important in my world, been my warden

was dwarf. Maybe that may cause some type of reactions, been that the dwarf warden when topside and saved ferelden and what brings the dwarf quizzy topside to do something important also. :D

that really IS a good question, we can assume how an elf PC would be treated, and a qunari PC would probably be treated even worse. but a dwarf? if i had to guess dwarves will be the least hated non-human race by outsiders, but i have no idea what they would say to a dwarfquisitor.

That's definitely something to think about. Dwarves aren't spat on like the elves, nor are they feared like the qunari (who, even aside from their intimidating appearance, follow a Scary Dogmatic Philosophy)... And I think most surfacers are completely ignorant of the caste system and things like that.

On the other hand, maybe NPCs will wonder what kind of stake a dwarf has in this mage vs. templar war? After all, dwarves can't use magic...

I wonder if there's any chance we'll go to Orzammar in Inquisition. I'd love to see the Broscas and Aeducans. :3

In the demo when they showed the surnames, one of them had "frostback pass" as the location so...... maybe.

In fact, here's the image with it:

My guess is humans will think she/he is a merchant during the first part of the game (which might actually be useful) and when they know it's the Inquisitor they'll ask her/his opinion about armors and weapons. Because, you know, dwarves are all merchants or smiths.

I'd like to see some conflict between Kal'Shirok and whoever we put on the throne of Orzammar. I'm pretty sure Harrowmont was killed shortly after being crowned(?), but Bhelen might still be kicking.

Oh yea them dwaves in Kal'Sharok are really different than Orzammar dwarves with everything and they don't have houses or kings. So it will be good to see how things are running in. Yea i think Bhelen only had people rising up against him, but doesn't get killed. :)

I hope that Varric is a romance, and I hope that Dagna will be a romance. She seems like she will be a Mordin-type.

Well, maybe it's time to fix that

Note: I say this because I finished the Dwarven Noble Origin recently

Oooh yes. That would be awesome. I can see a mini questline brewing that involves unlocking magic potential in dwarves.

I would prefer to find ways for non-mages to use magic, magical devices and the like. Seems safer and other races could benefit aswell. Maybe this could be a choice in that quest? *cough*Dagna's loyalty mission*cough*

I actually think a dwarfquisitor might be in an ideal position diplomacy wise, particularly if they were a surfacer. I mean, "True" Dwarves seem to regard anyone from the surface with equal scrutiny, so it won't make that much of a difference there. Elves seem to be pretty neutral towards dwarves, the same goes for humans, and Qunari don't care what race you are, so long as you live up to their ideals. Surfacer Dwarves can be part of the chantry, are known for being good merchants, and their resistance to magic makes them good neutral parties in any templar/mage conflict so you're not going to get any resentment from those factions right off the bat.

No one's going to adore you right off the bat, but no one's going to hate you either. Not a bad way to start as the leader of the Inquisition.

Well yeah, of course you'd have options, *cough*particularly if Dagna was there*cough. A quest of that significance would of course require a few possible outcomes.
