Prove me wrong.

ERRRR...wait never mind, i just vindicated myself. it is stated that this "next" Mass Effect will be set in a new universe but will somehow be related to the original trilogy
one source:
http://www.trustedre...vSOcPAWlE0bR.99
but given that the "No Shepard" is still my munnition for not excited in a positive way
Link tags are your friend
And if you actually read that article, you'd find that it says that ME4 is a new experience of the existing univverse, not a new universe.
i will say i am guilty of not honestly reading the article that i posted as a link, but given what i have heard. i am not in the woooooo new ME content, and the No Shepard thing is just the downer for me given how everyone knows the fate of them in the Destroy ending....as i refuse to start a fresh in "this" timeline, i am comitted to my Liara

More like I'm curious, in the non-negative connotation of the word, and I'm interested in seeing how the Amalur level designers will impact the environment and atmosphere. Glad those guys found new spots after Big Huge bit the bullet.

Yeah kinda. Love Mass Effect, but considering we don't even know whether it will be a sequel or prequel, it's not possible to be as pumped as everyone is, say, about 6 months before a game's release when lots of info is out and you can get the general feeling where a project is going/aiming for.MegaSovereign wrote...
Like a lot of others have said, I'd be more excited if I had a clue on what they're doing next.
Still want ME4 news though, fast!

If it's a sequel, there are three rather radically different universes, even assuming best possible variation of ending... (I'm really hoping those cupcakes had three severely different aftertastes, one for each color of frosting

I don't think avoiding the endings/acting around them like an elephant in the room would be wise. It's not like people are going to forget. So a sequel would be the way to go IMO, directly 'facing' the endings, not shying away from them, trying to make the best out of them. Why not have it as the game's main 'catch' or bullet-point that you can pick your own variation of the universe based on 3 main decisions at the end of first Trilogy? Post-Destroy world, post-Control world and post-Synthesis world? Would surely be a very interesting and ambitious concept.JaylaClark wrote...
I... just have no idea where they can go from here.

We know everything will survive to be radically overhauled by the Magic Plot Device.

you sir, are honestly have something going on....in a good notion, at that. i honestly think this could be the way to go, given IF this was a post ME3 thing
+1
but alas, since it is already a given that it is a "No Shepard" as the "main":?
i just went to ->
upon remembering that the "No Shepard" as main was already a given

I've suggested this on several occasions. It gets shot down and labeled "impossible". But I think it would hardly stretch the limits of what's possible for a next gen game.IsaacShep wrote...

It would be impossible if we're stuck on the idea that the galaxy and all races would somehow be totally different. Which doesn't actually make sense, why would they be? There sure should be some major alterations and differences (perhaps each 'world' could have 1 exclusive squadmate for example) but in general, in all there would still be relays, asari, galactic politics etc.Mcfly616 wrote...

Game Starts. EA presents blah blah
"My Sweet which story you wanna hear today?"
"Oh oh how the world became green grandpa!"
And done. You selected your ending in first 30 seconds ;P

like i have said, no Me [Shepard] and given Liara is still out with the Normandy crew, probly going about her artifact finding business, i can assure you i will not take this. i can feel that saddening feeling Liara has with my demise
at this time i just can't see myself to be another main but me [Shepard]

1. Price drop.
2. They release the PS4 Mk II
Both of those things happen eventually, whichever happens first hooks this fish. My Biggest issue is that they said f*ck all to backplay. Super dissapointing.
