Im definitely curious to see how it's all going to play out, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't pre-order.

1. Price drop.

2. They release the PS4 Mk II

Both of those things happen eventually, whichever happens first hooks this fish. My Biggest issue is that they said f*ck all to backplay. Super dissapointing.

This is what going to happen to the first generations of PS4s

After watching this tell me you'll get a PS4 on launch day......

Really excited? Nah. But I am looking forward to it. I'm curious to see what the story'll be about, how it relates to what we've already seen, if they can even pull off making a good game outside of a Shepard centric theme. I've played most of BWs games, and have found them all entertaining. I've yet to NOT finish a BW game, which is more then I can say of many other games which frankly began to bore me to tears.. As far as pre-ordering goes...I'll wait to see what it looks like first.

It's probably gonna be about Cerberus, considering they still have Walters on lead, and Foundation was also about Cerberus. Makes me not-interested. They should just forget Cerberus once and for all IMO. They had way too much focus already.

There's no way they'd do more with Cerberus. ME2 got us to see a fair amount of their inner workings, and ME3 resolved all this with the exodus of their good workers and the deaths of their troopers and leader.

Not at all excited and only slightly curious. Not even sure if I'll buy it, very much depends upon what it turns out to be.

If you're going to make silly conclusions, you could at least make sure the evidence they're based on is right.

They've been explicitly trying to recruit a new lead writer. Which means Walters is only 'lead writer' as a placeholder for whoever comes in next.

Also the rather obvious fact that whatever Foundation is based on does not necessarily have an ounce of bearing on what ME 4 will be about.

Frankly, i am more cautious then excited but it is based only on assumptions and speculations since there is very little info available.
Given that i had the same attitude about next DA game and yet now i am really excited about it after recent reveals, attitude toward ME4 may change when more info is available - for better or for worse.

No. Not until I know the script wasn't left alone with Hudson or Walters anyway.

Yeah exactly. That's what I mean about waiting until they release the Mk II. They always have kinks to work out. I would never buy one on launch.

I hope for a good story, and expanded MP.

For some obscure reason, I find myself hoping they make a post-destroy MMO.

I hate MMOs... but a Mass Effect MMO gets me excited.

Curious. But I really haven't a clue what to expect, so it's hard to pass any kind of judgement at this point.

I'm curious but until more details start to roll out it's hard to get excited. I just don't know what to expect.

No.  I was 'really excited' for Mass Effect 3, and the entire game ended up being disappointing.  I'm pretty much indifferent to ME4 and have no intention of buying it unless it gets glowering reviews (from the fans as well).  Maybe when it ends up in the bargain bin eventually but I don't really care.  And really if they do go with a prequel I have even less than no interest in that.

Only if they retcon ME2 and ME3. Otherwise it is the journey of a cow to the slaughter. Make a sequel to the first and true Mass Effect or Jade Empire.

What you don't appreciate spending five years getting invested in a character you created only to see it forced to dance to the writers' tune followed by watching it burned right in front of you? Image IPB

Come on, why wouldn't you sign up for another "journey" like that?  Image IPB

No i'm not excited, the atrocious end to ME3 killed that in me. There's still a part of me that is intrigued what they are planning to resurrect from the ashes though, so i'll cautiously bide my time over following DA & see if the news was ME is anything worth being interested in purchasing..

Yes I am excited. The first three mass effects were all great (even if the last ten minutes of the third game wasn't great, the other 100+ hours was all fantastic), so I am not worried about the next game. Though I am actually excited to learn about what the game will be before I get very excited to get it

There's always someone saying this about every franchise. And they regret it when such MMO comes out, flushes the entire series down the toilet and prevents any single-player installements from being released for years because the publisher is either just trying to recoup investement or too scared to go tackle the brand again. I say let's not even try the MMO route. It never really works nor is good for any series

A ME MMO sounds atrocious. Awful. That leaves a worse taste in my mouth than seeing the cheesy Shepard faces.

I'm waiting to hear more information. If it's a prequel I'll be passing on it most likely. It's not just about this series, generally speaking I hate all prequels.

They may work, like Old Republic era in Star Wars has showed. But something like that can't be repliacted here, it's beed one cycle after another for the past billion+ years in ME universe, it always has to end the same way, with Reapers etc. Star Wars backstory didn't have constraints like that.

I... just have no idea where they can go from here.

If it's a sequel, there are three rather radically different universes, even assuming best possible variation of ending... (I'm really hoping those cupcakes had three severely different aftertastes, one for each color of frosting :P). If it's a prequel... why on Thessia should we care? We know everything will survive to be radically overhauled by the Magic Plot Device.

I don't think avoiding the endings/acting around them like an elephant in the room would be wise. It's not like people are going to forget. So a sequel would be the way to go IMO, directly 'facing' the endings, not shying away from them, trying to make the best out of them. Why not have it as the game's main 'catch' or bullet-point that you can pick your own variation of the universe based on 3 main decisions at the end of first Trilogy? Post-Destroy world, post-Control world and post-Synthesis world? Would surely be a very interesting and ambitious concept.

I swear if they did something like this it would be awesome beyond measure.

Post-MEHEM world or not interested.
