How do you come to that conclusion? Electronic Arts has over 9000 (sorry) emplyees. Not all of them are developers of course, but they have enough people to work on a dozen games simultaneously.

They released 92 games across all platforms last year. For every Mass Effect Infiltrator there is a ME3, SIMS, a bunch of sports games, Battlefield, etc

And? Is that supposed to prove something?

My recent champions league season did have quite a bad ending.

BSN knows of the ME3 ending rage. FIFA and NBA players rage every year because they usually get the same game, on the same engine and with shinier menus. I played FIFA way more than ME, I know it firsthand.

Yanick Roy has said both on his Twitter.

Considering that bioware can not he be held accountable for basic interviews and statements to the general media, I don't think a twitter post (which is a casual social media site) can be classified as super reliable sources.

You said half a dozen.

With over 9000 employees, there is absolutely nothing wrong with working on half a dozen games, or even a dozen games. or likely more (if we were to assume 400 people attached to a particular game's development, a dozen is less than 5000 people, which leaves over 4000 people in the organization).

Let me ask you again, and how about an actual answer this time? Is this supposed to prove something?

You are assuming that 9000 people are coding. I think this is far from accurate. Half a dozen major games simultaneously.. I didn't count iPhone games or adaptations to a different console.
Point is, it's pretty clear they've got a lot on their hands

92 games a year is a game every 4 days, roughly. Do you really need me to spell it out for you?

Let's see. That. Is. A. Lot. Of. Work.

This thing has comments from 2004.

It's 10 years old. That's a lifetime in the world of video games.

Yes, unfortunately, they did. They had very strong reasons to lie about all of that which don't apply here.

Developers lying to their customers about their product is never justified. Never.

Yeah fortunately humans live longer than 10 years :)

Edit: Honestly 10 years later, nothing has changed at electronic arts

DICE is a team of less than 400 people. They, as you probably know, make the Battlefield games. Arguably one of EA's flagship productions. Undoubtedly AAA.

I'll say it again. If we assume half the people at EA (which is a silly small number if you think about it--you don't need as many chiefs as there are Indians) are developing games, that's 4685 people. Divide by 400 and you get 11.7.

EA has enough people to develop a dozen games. Their "problem" is NOT that they're developing half a dozen games simultaneously.

Whether it's 'justified' is irrelevant. Murder might not be justified, but that doesn't mean people don't have reasons to do it.

Also, I'd like a source on your "92 games released," because Wikipedia says it was actually more like 37, and that's including crap like mobile titles (which undoubtedly takes less people than a AAA title) and DLC like The Sims 3 stuff.

"Justified" and "have very strong reasons" are pretty much the same thing. You're just splitting hairs.

Excited?  Not after that bloody train wreck of a finale.  Cautiously optimistic is more like it.  I'd like to believe that they've learned what they can do and what they shouldn't do...but I have many doubts.

Not in the slightest. In law, you talk about 'motive' all the time. The reason for doing something. That's absolutely different from the crime being justified.

Motive is different from "strong reasons".

Motive is the actual reason for doing it.
By using the word "strong" implies there is some justifiability in the actions.

I think this just a miscommunication between the 2 of you however.

So for ME3 they lie for the reasons above, however they don't have a reason to lie right now?what has changed?

EA has enough people to develop a dozen games. Their "problem" is NOT that they're developing half a dozen games simultaneously.

And DICE is part of the EA. That's less than 400 people working one one game(granted - it's one of the bigger games) and 2 adaptations. Out of 92 games. And many of the Battlefield fans (my best friend being one of them) complain about the same thing as the FIFA or NBA Live fans - same sh*t every year, just a little shinier. If companies like DICE, a division of EA, who only have to pretty much update last year's game have a hard time, it's not hard to understand why ME3 hasn't quite lived up to the expectations. And this.
I mentioned that some of them are smaller games + adaptations. Still a lot of games from one company.
