Do people really use CMs on the GI in gold? I only use them in plat. I usually prefer SPCs anyway.

Only when I soloed Cerberus on Glacier. Otherwise, it's Adrenaline Module III - dat lolspeed

I can't solo cerberus with a GI even with a CM 4 ;_;

Mainly because I could never be bothered to learn how to do it and I need to practice the zerg rush waves with lolggoons and phantoms

Sounds like the thing I might do tonight on Rio. Also, what difficulty? Cause game speeds up slightly with increased difficulty.

I don't remember tbh....I think it was Gold.  Platinum and Silver shouldn't be TOO different from Gold in terms of speed changes.

If memory serves, it would be against  Cerberus (so you can leave a single Nemesis alive while doing the race).  One lap around Rio.  Box of shame,  to extraction point, and back again.

I think it was going to be with and without the AM-III as well.  To see  if there was a significant difference between a Drell and AIU using the AM-III (i.e. who benefitted more from the AM).

Well, seems like there is very little that I know about this game. Thanks for the explanations. And that link was really useful, I never knew any of that stuff, all those weak points and stuff.

Scorpion deals with those bastards if you carry it as a secondary.

Exactly. Nice diagram.

You should, in theory, do two to three laps.  This should increase your sample size and obtain a more  accurate end result.  One lap may leave you with an outlier due to human error or the like.

What RedJohn is saying is that at 20 or 30 FPS, GI is better, since enemies don't shoot back. At 60+ FPS, AIU is better, since enemies hit too quickly to be avoided.

Dude, there's something called "right hand advantage" and "not being a scrub". Go check it out.

I mainly use the wraith on my GI and the accuracy bonus and the RoF bonus are really noticable. Sure, you can run out in the open with the AIU to get into the range where all pellets hit the targets head ... then get taken down and revived by your lolmatrix, while the GI just kills everything comfortably from his right hand advantage spot.

Yeaaaaaaaaah, no. But I'll take it, since I did that while multitasking at work, with boss peeking over my shoulder :P

No dude, it was a compliment.  Even the worst whiteboard sketches are better than 5,000 lines of text.  It demonstrated your point perfectly.:)

HM is one of the most OP powers in the game and is criminally underrated. It increases your speed, damage output, survivability, ROF, awareness, etc.

Whenever someone makes the mistake of taking out the good old harrier TGI to outscore a GI, they often don't realize that HM will enable the GI to find and kill enemies much faster than them. Same goes for GI vs AIU. You see everything in a 24m radius, that means you can go after the juiciest groups of enemies and find new targets faster. Also, Drill ammo III. Nuff said.

Underrated?

Pretty sure wallhax has always been considered OP, hence it being one of the most popular cheats in shooters.

This thread.

All of the difficulties above bronze have increasing time compression. It is irrelevant in a race between two characters on the same level.

I am interested in this footrace between Drell and AIU (and GI?). When will there be a video?

Later on today/tonight when I get home and record separate laps.

GI has snap freeze spam and great surviveability?

Does that anything to do with shotguns?, because this is about shotguns, not general stuff :P

Yes it has a lot to do with shotguns.  you can take all the numbers and %'s you wish and add them up any way you wish.

Now lets look at something tougher to measure.  How often in the game are you on your ass?  How often is a team mate having to risk his neack because you have gone down?  The AIU, even without repair matix is a better up close class than the GI.  Snap freeze spam alone makes your shotgun a lot more effective.

I like using a Hurricane on my AIU, that way I can also kill the enemy at range.

Yet there is still the mentality of spec out of HM and just use Geth Scanner on this board.

You've got to get someone to join and have an actual race!
